Where do I start... This is a large campsite (200+pitches ) set within the national park, the setting is great but don't expect any bells or whistles. On arrival no trouble with registration, we had booked prior to our arrival so we knew where we were going to be pitched. Good tent site but no fire pit, just as well... More

We feared the worst but were pleasantly surprised. Upon our arrival we found that a huge campground still had wonderful shady sites with good privacy and distance from one site to the other. My wife reported that someone had had an accident in the ladies room and even though I was late evening it was quickly cleaned up. We had... More

(Stayed in loop 64, site W. Walk to water / plumbed bathrooms: 2 mins, walk to shower house / main playground, amphitheater: 12 mins). This is a gem in the Parks Canada collection of national campsites. Site like this provide what others in Alberta (private, provincial) do not: a peaceful opportunity to enjoy nature, in a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere that... More

My son, husband and I were camping last week in there, Unfortunately It was one of the terrible camping experience in there. First the staff were very rude to us, just for asking some questions, it seems like they never got trained to talk to people before, it was very bas since it reflected a very bad image of Canada... This is a great campground. The showers are a little older but good enough to get clean considering the camping is generally smoky business. The lot we booked ended up being larger than expected but we had a fair amount of privacy which was what we wanted. There are a limited number of sites with campfires and require fire permit,... We booked the whole loop 8 since we are a big group of people.. Washrooms They clean it everyday, as soon as you enter the washroom it smells good, well maintained.... More

This is one of the largest campgrounds. Great to get your own little spot with a fire pit but it costs $8 per day to have a fire. Good of you just need somewhere to stay, not very wilderness like, is just in the forest. Bathroom facilities were good

We had two nights here and we had a lovely spot for our RV. We were not disturbed and it was quiet. We decided to use the showers on the park but these we're disappointing. The water was minimal, it ran down the wall instead of on the body and it was also a bit muddy etc. it was good... More

Stayed here for one night and would have loved to had stayed longer had the oTENTik not been booked the next night. Way cheaper than hotels and a much better experience. You have to pay 9$ for a fire permit but they provide free, unlimited firewood. The oTENTik, a semi-permanent tent site, has essentially 4 double beds which was plenty... More

Our review of the campground might be impacted by the particular site we chose in advance. We were in the 9 loop and the washrooms were very old and small and the site was extremely dusty with little shade. Our daughter did enjoy the large playground and daily program. We had a herd of Elk pay us a visit one... More

Parks Canada interpreters put on evening shows all summer long, and a new interpretive trail running through the campground means it’s an easy walk or bike ride to town for an ice cream afterward.
