I am sorry to say this, but we hated the campsite. It looked great on paper, nice campsites with enough room in between in the forest, but we really had to drive to the shower, because there was only one and the campground is huge and also the noise form other guests was terrible and went on till very late... While some might think camping in October in the mountains is a bit looney, Thanksgiving in Jasper camping at Whistler is amazing !!! We were in a trailer with a furnace to keep us warm but there was more than 40 people brave enough to be tenting ! Campground was exceptionally clean with very friendly park staff. We had made... Pros: Very close (2 min Drive) to Jasper. Decent showering/cooking facilities. Less mosquito's than two jack campsite nr. Banff. There was SOIL, so I managed to get some tent pegs in! (this is the FIRST time I've experienced this in Canadian campsites). Arrived without booking and there was ample space. Pretty cheap per pitch/per night. Cons: We couldn't find a... More

I loved the campground. I loved the staff, They could not have been more accommodating. We arrived on a long weekend, bad move. The staff made sure we had a campsite everynight. Even though they were booked solid. The campsites are large, clean and quite privite. If you are going there to see wild life, well we travelled all through... More

The Whistlers is a convenient place to stay; it is close to Jasper and also close to the trailheads of a few day hikes. We stayed here in order to access the Edith Cavell Meadows trail. The sites are on level ground. However, there is definitely a lack of privacy in the sparsely treed site. People often walked through our... More

We stayed two nights. Very impressed with the quality of the camping facilities including bathrooms. Both nights we were there elk walked within feet of our campervan. Nice and quiet and loved that the park staff did nightly information programs. Would definitely stay again.

Nice level even site, quite large and neatly laid out. Bathrooms were very clean. Plenty of supplies and free showers. Overall a great campsite. Nice friendly people working the gates. Location was nice and close to Jasper town.

We arrived fairly late at night (around 9 pm) after a long drive and there were lots of spaces still available. It is very near to the entrance of the park. Perfect if you are planning on hiking the Sulphur Skyline (excellent) or any of the other paths near Miette Hot Springs (which are way better than the Upper Banff... More

This is a great camping facility! We stay here as a family 3-4 visits every summer. Unfortunately, this year has been mosquito hell! For the poor reviews given to the campground because of mosquitoes, I think is unfair as other reviews have posted. If these people reviewed the campground without mosquitoes, I'm certain it would be very different. I do... More

From Nova Lodge to Whistlers Campground on July 5 arriving mid morning. Not too many in line yet so we were hopeful. We have low expectations when camping if there are facilities that they are clean and a relative expectation of some peace and quiet. We had a wonderful experience at Glacier so was even happier since showers were included... More
