This a great full service campsite. The sites are treed, pull through and quiet. There is an interpretive walking trail through the middle of it. They also have a stage and public showers. I can't comment on the showers though as I shower in my RV. They also have public washrooms in every camping loop which are clean and within... More

Stayed here for 3 nights during our road trip through the Rockies. It's a big popular site with queues to get in (we booked several months in advance). We had a large RV and the site is laid out so that there are clusters of circles of 6-7 units branching off the main roads through the site. We had a... More

Thanks for taking the time to write your review. We're happy to see you had a great camping experience at Whistlers. One note about the really LONG train delays- if you are using 93A (Hazel Avenue) to access the town of Jasper and the RV parking, you have a good chance to get stuck behind a train- Jasper is a... The Parks Canada Campground is huge, situated at the end of the Icefields Parkway, approx. 5 km from Jasper. The campground is divided in a lot of areas, where campers & tents can be located. All sites are spacious, yet not all sites are fully serviced. In the middle of each area, one can find washrooms, yet not all areas... More

Only 1 shower block on site, which is a 15 minute walk from the RV side of the park. They were very clean and tidy but the hot water was a bit hit and miss. We did see a few deer, but were surprised at that, given the amount of dogs barking. Don't however come here for the clean fresh... More

Thank you for your review of Whistlers Campground. We hope you enjoyed your time in Jasper National Park, but sorry to hear that the campfire smoke was a bother. Even though the campground does have an 11pm campfire policy (fires out, quiet time), smoke can linger depending on air conditions in the valley bottom. You will be happy to know... More

We just spent 8 nights at this campground and would go back again. We had a full service campsite, water, sewer and electrical. The campground is large but you do not feel like it. Each area is set up with wide spaces and trees between each site. If you want a totally dark experience then this might not be your... More

While street lights are there for public safety in Jasper's busiest campgrounds, there are some great locations to view night skies from Whistlers campers. Our recommended area is to proceed to Marmot Meadows- just on the south edge of the campground that we use as a group campground for the Park. This is a large, treeless meadow in a montane... More

Whistler in Jasper National Park has always been a favorite of ours, especially in the early fall when the elk are in rut. What an amazing experience to see these animals firsthand. The campground itself is well organized with good facilities and sites are very spacey for the most part. Our only disappointment is that Park services have allowed the... More

we stayed 3 nights at the whistler, we loved it. it is a superorganised and well kept campground. the campground was pretty empty, and unless we are mistaken there are only very few showers available. had it been full, mmmh, but with the amount of customers it was perfect. each tent spot has it's on fire pit (8.80$ a day)... We camp here all the time. We keep coming back because we know exactly what to expect. Free HOT showers, flush toilets throughout the campground, outdoor sinks and free firewood are some of the amenities you don't get at provincial/private campgrounds. The washrooms are generally clean, even when there is a problem in the washroom it seems to get cleaned... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights in August. The campsite was packed as it was the holiday weekend, despite this our campsite was spacious and relatively quiet. The campsite is so big it took around 6 minutes to drive to it once we arrived but as we had a car that was no issue. One thing I will... More

Took us almost an hour to queue up for check in yet we was certainly not disappointed in the site we got for our RV. Set to the back of the site in a beautiful old silver berch forest. It was a bit of a walk to the central showers but the masses of resident elks make it an enjoyable... More
