To us, this version of the B&B worked out really well. Getting fresh, homemade self-serve breakfast every day is a perfect compromise between the luxury of a full B&B breakfast and the flexibility of not serving breakfast at all. The location is far enough from the center of town to be nice and quiet, yet close enough that we could... More

We drove in from Lacombe through a terrible snow storm and consequently arrived very late. Our hosts stayed up for us and greeted us with smiling faces. Our room was very large and the beds were incredibly comfortable. There was an ample supply of hot drinks and snacks for us including fresh fruit, homemade breads, yogurts, jams, juice and milk.... Hi Sam, I'm very glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay here at Columbine House, and hope that having a "powder day" at Marmot Basin ski area made the stress of the drive worthwhile. Thank you for your kind words, and for staying with us at Columbine House. Hope to see you again soon! Warm regards, Karen Columbine... More

Totally agree with all the previous comments, lovely stay. A larger shower would make it so much better. We stayed here for two nights to visit the new glacier skywalk accessed from the Columbia Ice field visitor centre, we also visited the Jasper Tramway.

Karen provided us with everything we needed. So many wonderful home made goodies for breakfast just topped it off. The garden unit and it is a unit, as there is a huge king bed, nice living area with plenty of local reading material, a quaint kitchenette and a massive big bathroom with just a little bit too small shower -... My wife and I spent 3 nights here. We loved the spacious accommodation with it's own private entry so we could come and go as we pleased. It included all the facilities we could possibly want. But we did find the shower cabinet a little small given everything else was so spacious. We looked forward to the breakfasts and Karen's... More

Everything was perfect staying in Karen's lower level. Clean, plenty of space, comfortable bed, wonderful homemade bread, jam and yogurt for breakfast. Plenty of privacy. I would highly recommend as a place to stay in Jasper. Better rate than hotels, too. You can't go wrong here.

We are fortunate to have found Columbine House for our four-day stay in Jasper. Karen thought of everything to make our stay very comfortable. In addition to her expert advice, she provided a large selection of books and magazines about the surrounding area, which was helpful in deciding which activities to do. She kept the mini-fridge amply stocked with several... More

We were fortunate to stay three nights in the heaven created by Karen Phillips. Karen has been running her bed and breakfast for 25 years. She told us she always listen to her guests and , based on their wishes, imroves continuously her B&B. And these efforts are clearly evident in the Columbine house. There is not a detail she... Absolutely wonderful place to stay in Jasper. Karen was very helpful in offering suggestions for restaurants, activities to do, and places to visit in the area. We enjoyed her homemade bread, granola and yogurt. There is a large supply of tea, granola bars, cereal, fruit, juice too. The room is large with a sitting area, TV, books, magazines, tourist information... More

We have just arrived at Columbine House, and from e-mailing Karen to meeting her in person, we already know we are in for a treat! The B&B is located at the end of Patricia rd where there is ample parking...the accommodation is in a street level basement with a window in the living room that lets you look out onto... More
