I recently stayed in the backcountry lodge on a family trip into the wilderness. Being from England there are hardly any places left where you can go on a 20km hike and not encounter another person or house or something. In early 2004 I contacted Kable Kongsrud of Tonquin Valley Backcountry Lodge and made a reservation to visit his back country lodge that July.
