This hotel is located close to the Sunwapta and Athabaska Falls and the Columbia glacier field. It is a quiet place with a lot of charm. The staff is incredibly friendly and eager to help. All from the From Desk to the restaurant made me feel not like a guest but like a member of the family! My cabin was... More

This place is fairly rustic... which you can take as a pro or con. For me it was a little more outdated than I would have liked, but I can see why some would enjoy it. Pros: good location, secluded, quiet, incredibly helpful and friendly staff, change to unplug and enjoy being in a a national park, great restaurant, fireplace... More

Yes, this place is expensive, but it is also a great place to stay. I requested and got a ground floor room, and I was able to park my car close by. Check-in was one of the friendliest I have had on my tour. I felt really valued and the front-desk staff showed me to my room - usually you... More

The place is nice especially the people working there from the front desk staff to the restaurant staff. The food is good where its fine dining but on casual attire. The falls is beautiful and the cabin is clean with wood fireplace. I will recommend this Lodge for people who would like to go to Jasper. The Athabasca falls is... More

The lodge is located on the highway, very easily accessible. The room was just ok. We rented a 2 double cabin. It was very small and the bathroom door did not lock. Since the room was in the open surrounded by lot of trees, plants, there were mosquitos in the room :( BUT, their restaurant is amazing. GREAT food and... More

We stayed here for 1 night and the stay was magical. As stated in a previous review - the cabins ARE old and the price IS high but that misses the point entirely. The location is perfect and the surrounding views are wonderful. We had a very good meal in the restaurant and excellent service from the son of the... More

I booked into the Sunwapta as a mid point to my tour of the Rockies, i was extremely disappointed in the standard of room for the price, this place is seriously outdated, and needs a major remodel and Wifi which for most travellers is a must. The two receptionists where both helpful and polite as was Vanessa in the restaurant,... More

A beautiful location! There is a lodge section and separate cabins. The lodge has shared balconies. The cabins are older but nice and clean and fresh with private bathrooms with shower over bath. The water was hot and of a good pressure. Cabins also have coffee making facilities and some supplies. Satellite TV in the room. You can get a... More

Enjoyed our stay. Staff we, without exception, friendly and helpful. The cabin we stayed in was clean with a lovely comfortable bed. We did have our fire lit on the second night of our stay . This is done by a member of staff and your are given some wood too but as this is basically very dry kindling it... More

We stayed here to break up our drive through the Icefields Parkway and could not have picked a better spot. Beautifully located next to the falls, in the middle of the national park and totally unspoilt. Cabins are only open for a short time in the year and although old fashioned they have great charm, are quiet and more than... More
