What a rare gem! Rooms are clean, comfortable and have enough space. The real plus is the friendly staff, and the shop/ cafe. Great food here, even better at night with the bar, log fire , white table cloths and a la carte menu! Fine wines and awesome food! A great surprise! Oh and there is also the falls......Sep 2014

We chose this location for part of our trip to the Canadian Rockies because it was between Jasper and the Athabasca Glacier Icefields (We spent the other half of our week by Lake Louise). The accommodations were plain but the room had a refrigerator and they put a microwave in the room as requested. We could store food for breakfast... More

We stayed here for one night in september 2014 in room nr. A 4. The location was quiet en the hotel near the beautiful sunwapta falls, a must see. The room though was a bit smelly maybe because of the old furniture and carpet? The kitchenette had nothing but a coffee and tea making facility, the cupboards were empty, no cutlery,... More

Great Location and a bit different - we really liked this Mountain Lodge. The room was perfectly O.K not plush but it had everything you needed. The real bonus for us was the restaurant which was very good - great choice of food and first class. The place had a real atmosphere and it felt like fine dining - the... More

First of all the lodge is relatively isolated, located along the highway between Banff and Jasper (approximately 37 miles south of Jasper). We arrived just after dark and the place looked a little “different”. However, as soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted by a very friendly staff member that escorted me to the check-in desk (I... More

A lovely position near a waterfall on the Icefield parkway. We stayed in a little log cabin with a roaring log fire. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The restaurant was cosy and the food delicious. Comfortable bed. Not cheap, but great place to stay.

Stopped en route from kamploops to banff, liked the room, views, food and staff. The falls is a short walk down the road a good stop off surprised at the low ratings. Choice if food burgers before 530pm or more up market dining at 630pm we had the latter chicken and salmon very good.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Upon checking in,they provided tips on where to go, what to see,and lots of good advice. Other times when they saw me, they always greeted me, asked how my day had been and how I was doing. I rarely see this level of personal interaction from hotels.

Sunawapta Falls Resort is a well located resort when site seeing and exploring the Rocky Mountains!! It is priced comparably to other Hotels and Resorts in the Rocky Mountains and offers a great Motel style rooming as well as cabins. Located about a half hour from the IceFIelds Skywalk as well as minutes from Sunawapta Falls, it offers a souvenir... More
