We stayed here for one night on our way back to Banff from Jasper.  The staff was friendly, the room was adequate though nothing special. The wood burning fireplace was a nice touch though you had to request for someone to come set it up. WiFi functioned but signal and speed were very poor. Dinner was pretty good, nice hearty... More

Didn't expect so much at all from this motel. We didn't want to drive the whole way from jasper to banff in one day so we booked one night here. The staff is helpfull and very nice. The wifi is actually good to be out in the nowhere. The food at the restaurant is for real like the best dinner... More

Approximately halfway between Lake Louise and Jasper. Nice cabin-like rooms (seperated from the main building). Nice and friendly staff. Very good restaurant and deli. Large gift shop with items we didn't see anywhere else. Be sure to have mosquito repellent (available in gift shop) when you want to sit outside in the evening. Sunwapta Falls itselves are impressive.

I truly loved my stay here - the staff was fantastic: friendly, helpful and efficient. We stayed in a Rocky Mountain Double and really liked the room and setting. We enjoyed our food at dinner - the service was very good and the ambience intimate. Its definitely a bonus to have the Sunwapta Falls just a short stroll away. Just... More

Staff was friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The room was very cozy. It was great to be out of the town and to be in such a quiet setting. A 10 minute walk took us to the falls and just 20 minutes put us up the mountain where the view was spectacular.! Breakfast was generous and... More

If you don't want to be where all the tourists are in Jasper then this is the place for you! Lot's of young people working at this lodge and they are from all over , so it gives the place an international feel. The girls at the front desk are so friendly ! We met one of the workers out... More

Pickings are slim along the Icefields parkway. This place while not luxurious is quite adequate. It kind of reminds me of the hotels we stayed in on vacation in the 1960s complete with the large souvenir shop and the totem pole outside. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The two meals we had in the restaurant were very good... More

Neat cabins, great customer service, nice, quiet, and relaxing break after a busy day at the ice fields. Had supper at the restaurant and it was great! Breakfast the next day was also good. The falls are walking distance and worth a view. It was the perfect distance to drive from Banff, drive the parkway with stops, and do both... More

After a very long (yet breathtaking) day of driving, we arrived at Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge. We were pleasantly surprised at the condition of the accommodations. Each room has its own private entrance on a nice little deck. I hadn't read much about the hotel, but booked it because of its location. We didn't have any food with us... More

We enjoyed our one night stay at Sunwapta and had we not had reservations elsewhere might have stayed another day. After arriving later than expected (because hwy 93 is gorgeous and it's nice to meander a bit) we quickly checked in and headed straight to dinner. Outstanding and friendly service, and both meals were delicious (rainbow trout and pork tenderloin).... More
