We booked a large cabin for the BC day weekend with friends to go skiing at Marmot. Our friends cancelled last minute. when we tried to cancel the room 36 hours ahead of time they said sorry but we need 48 hours notice or they would charge the $300.00 regardless?! So we decided to suck it up and stay there... More

We were ecstatic with our stay at Pocahontas! The cabin was gorgeous, and spacious, not to mention a completely stocked kitchenette and superbly helpful staff- Frank! The hot tub was amazing after a nice day of boarding. Why anyone would want to stay in a hotel with these modern rustic gems waiting for you, is beyond me!

A friend and I stayed at these cabins in June 2015 and we were very happy. The room was clean and tidy and there is a fridge and microwave. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's about 25 minutes to Jasper but it's a nice drive and we even saw some animals along the way. There was no Wifi in... More

This place captures the very essence of the area: rustic, warm, simple and quaint. The room was very clean and equipped with a small table, microwave (bonus!), coffee machine, fridge, TV and DVD player. It has no wifi, but it almost adds to the atmosphere. Along with the metal keys of hotel yesteryear, this place is the perfect cabin getaway... More

We stayed here in September 2015. I must add that we live in the UK & I found the booking process on the website/telephone difficult, even when I rang to reserve was told no rooms available even though on email I had been told there was. However on arrival the staff were friendly, we got allocated a lovely cabin I... More

At first glance the room looked clean but upon closer inspection I started noticing coffee stains on the counter, the sink wasn't cleaned properly, and it felt like food stains on the counter. We thought this was all but it wasn't. The customer service was okay. Not great, just okay. I was excited when I arrived as it was the... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I am very disappointed to hear of your less than satisfactory stay. The problems you have noted are not acceptable and are most definitely not the Pocahontas standard. We pride ourselves in providing our guests with exceptional customer service and comfort. Unfortunately, in your case, we have not lived up... More

We stayed at the Pocahontas cabins in November 2015. We were disappointed to find out when we arrived Friday night from Edmonton that the on site restaurant was closed. This would have been nice to know ahead of time so that we could have brought food with us for dinner. Instead we had to drive back to Hinton for supper.... More

The cabins were lovely and fairly clean. We enjoyed the outdoor BBQs and pool area. My biggest concern was the onsite restaurant. We only ate there one night and it was sub par at best. The wait time was painful and the food was essentially inedible. I'm not very picky but the fish was so soggy and cold it had... More

Friendly staff, nice place. I stayed in a deluxe cabin during the winter. Only thing I would like is a more elaborate breakfast. Hotels that cost $70 less a night offer a better meal. The location is anazing with lots of trails nearby to explore.

We went in the winter and it was a nice place to stay. Had a fire place, nice room, the hot tub was outside but we still used it. We were able to go on a day hike around the area and it was beautiful, Not too far from Jasper township.
