Stayed here for 3 nights while on an ice climbing and back country ski trip in the middle of winter. Before I get all flowery, be warned this is a backcountry hostel. There are no showers, the toilets are pit toilets with cold seats, you will have to heat all water on the stove and the majority of the beds... More

Best value accommodation around Jasper. Super clean . So clean you could eat on the floor!!!We had requested a private room and got it despite late check in (9pm) Very spacious common quarters with back ground music All facilities to cook. Spotless cooking appliances Only down side: very discreet road sign hence late check-in IT IS ON THE RHS COMING... More

We (two adults and three kids) spent a wonderful few nights at Hi Athabasca. Think, really cosy Scottish bothy type accommodation mixed with clean facilities, a roaring fire and really comfy beds and you have Hi Athabasca. Situated next to the waterfall and an easy 25 minute drive north of jasper, the hostel is surrounded by natural beauty and great... More

We stayed here at our visit in Jasper and we really loved this place. The manager Jeff is very friendly and helpful and also very experienced to help you to have a great time in Jasper. The Athabasca falls are just a stroll away and you can hike there easily in the morning before all the tourists hit the place.... More

The common room was great and the staff were very friendly. Overall it was what I expected but my friends didn't enjoy the lack of showers or wifi at all. A youth bus tour stops here so I guess it gets rowdy occasionally.

The service was polite and cheerful but it was hard to find the warden sometimes. The lack of showers was a shock as was the close proximity to the road - we thought we were going to be in a wilderness but the road is only a few metres away. The private room was clean. We are a middle aged... More

First things first, this is a wilderness hostel. There is no running water, no flush toilets, no wifi. What this DOES offer is an immaculate rustic lodge with great management and great travelers. The manager, Jeff, takes a great deal of pride in this place and works his butt off to ensure everything is neat, clean, and above any standards... More

Great welcome from the staff. The hostel was very clean and was well kitted out with everything you could need. Loved the atmosphere of the wooden house and chalets. There's no running water but the hostel has plenty access to stored water.... To be honest this just added to the charm.Great place to mingle as most hostel goers are very... More

I booked this reservation with the assumption I'd be in a 19 bed dorm and meet heaps of people. I rocked up on my own, and it was just the man that lives there and hosts people. He said it was just me for the night which surprised me but I guess it wasn't busy season yet. However he made... More

Spent the day skiing and marmot and couldn't have picked a better place to relax afterwards. The place is the cleanest hostel I have ever seen and still has a super cozy and homey feel. The manager is very knowledgeable about the area and was great to talk to about planning hikes and activities. Although it is a little ways... More
