The location was convenient if you need to stay downtown, and the room was clean and looked recently upgraded. It was also a smoking room which is very hard to find these days if you're a smoker. It was also very reasonably priced for a downtown hotel, I will definitely consider this hotel the next time I'm in Edmonton.

We stayed 4 nights in a queen suite. I have mixed reviews for this hotel. We had a few issues, like a dirty duvet which I had to ask be replaced. It shouldn't have been put on the bed in the first place. Everything appears clean but if you look closely, you'll find someone else's hair on the bathroom floor... More

Stayed one night at the Coast Edmonton House in downtown Edmonton. Great location, close to all major office buildings downtown. Great rate, was greeted by friendly staff, and was upgraded to a king bed room - no charge. Didn't even have to beg. Room service was fast, food was just exactly as I had ordered it. I really got 5-star... More

I'll explain my upper comments the hotel is no turning into apartments which saddens me I love the coast house hotel because it's very much like going home I spend a lot of time in the last three years getting to know the stuff in the people and the hotel and I can tell you they're very much like family... I've stayed at the Coast Edmonton House at least 1 week a month for quite some time. They offer exceptional views and full kitchens and when working on the road this alone can be a real advantage. The staff completely exceeds my expectations every time. Gloria is completely loyal, caring, understanding and a great asset to their organization.

This is my favorite hotel in Edmonton, perfect location for to access LRT. Very disappointed to hear of it's closing, and being transformed into an apartment building. Don't know why the owners wouldn't consider leaving a few floors as a hotel, must be because they want to cut out paying staff to maintain a hotel atmosphere. Rooms are great, just... More

I just received an email from Coast saying that it is converting this property into an apartment and will no longer be a hotel starting on December 15, 2013. This is terrible news as it was the best value in downtown Edmonton and the other Coast hotel downtown (Coast Edmonton Plaza) is one of the dingiest hotels I have ever... More

We stayed for two nights. Beautiful view overlooking Edmonton from our room. We used the LRT to go to the Eskimos game. It didn't take long to walk to the LRT and was a very quick ride. Breakfast in the hotel was good. And the service was great. I would recommend this hotel.
