The house is in a wonderful spot for Edmonton, easy to find and walking distance from the shops and restaurants on Whyte Ave. The food was good, more selection would have been nice, but the guest pantry was a great touch. The historic look of the house paired with the modern amenities was awesome, and the air conditioning was brilliant... more

Our stay at McLellan House was fantastic. Loved the historic air that the house had and loved talking with Ed and Julie about the history and the amazing renovation that brought the house to its present magnificant glory. Great, comfortable beds, wonderfully decorated and restored, fabulous morning breakfast, great conversation. A piece of Edmonton history and an amazing relaxing stay.... more

Julie and Ed are the best hosts! And the breakfasts are superb! I stayed for two weeks at McLellan House while a visiting scholar at the University of Alberta. It was perfect; just a bracing walk from the University, with small stores, coffee shops and restaurants just around the corner. Wireless internet connection meant I could work in the comfort... more

Along with two friends, I stayed at McLellan House for three nights. We are all experienced travellers, but were totally impressed not only with the excellence of service, but the wonderfully hospitable, warm and generous hosts. Everything you could need had been anticipated; from the beautifully appointed rooms - each with an en-suite bathroom; the lovely sitting room complete with... more

This is a gem. A beautifully restored 1900s period house that provides the ideal launch pad for Edmonton city centre. 10 minutes on foot from the "health Sciences" light rail station which takes you - within 20 minutes - to the heart of the city. Lovely meals at a "common table'; and best of all Ed & Julie's enthusiasm to... more
