Attended the 2013 New Year's Party at the Hotel Selkirk and spent the night. This is a comfortable property run in the best of the European tradition. Thomas - the General Manager - and staff go out of their way to ensure that guests are comfortable and well cared for. A wonderful experience - plus the food was outstanding. Well... More

I planned a trip to Fort Edmonton with my three children in August, 2013. After searching without success for an hour for a hotel that was good value AND close to the Fort, I happily discovered that one can actually stay IN the park at Hotel Selkirk! The rate for the hotel includes the stay AND entry to the park... More

I brought my leadership team here for lunch while at the park on a planning retreat (Salon car), we had excellent fast service from Pierre and the food was quality and very tasty. Would definitely recommend the cafe for both the food and the service! Great venue for our meeting.

We just spent last night at this establishment. The grounds and park that this hotel is situated on are well groomed and the staff are in full character which adds so much to ones stay. At check in we mentioned we were recently married and would love to have some champagne we had brought to our room but needed ice.... More

Price was very reasonable considering your are in the park. I will stop here again for lunch next time we go to the park. Great job!

I swear this is true! We were booked into the Selkirk for one night and arrived during torrential rain only to find the hotel, located in Historic Fort Edmonton Park, completely deserted but with all offices, bars, kitchens etc open and accessible as we found whilst trying to find someone to deal with us. The Park outside seemed equally deserted.... More

Thank you very much for your feedback regarding your visit to Fort Edmonton Park. You certainly arrived at a very inauspicious moment. It is only on very rare circumstances that we are required to evacuate all occupants of the Park into safe shelter – in this case the basements of our historic buildings. Although most of our staff is very... More

This was our 2nd year attending the mothers day brunch at the hotel Selkirk. Last year the service was great, atmosphere quaint and not super busy and most importantly the food was fresh, hot and tastey. I have to say I am so disappointed this time round. Our seating time was at 9am. Things didnt start off that great as... More

Great 1920s style hotel. Clean, comfortable, and right in the park itself, which is great. The restaurant is very good if a little pricey. The fact it's 1920s means there's not TV in the room, which is fine, the universe doesn't fold in on itself if I don't watch TV for a few nights - but it does feel slightly... More
