Held our daughter's wedding here and it was great! We had the hotel to ourselves from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning and it was wonderful to not have to drive anywhere (even the church was just up the street) and to know that everyone you met at the hotel was there for the same reason you were! There was one... More

This was my first visit to Fort Edmonton Park and I was there for a wedding. The hotel is fairly small but the rooms were a good size, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and the entire park is a fun place to visit. The hotel is a great location if you are attending an event at the... More

The Hotel Selkirk is a wonderful little gem in Edmonton. Signage to parking is confusing, and make sure you move your non-period car by 10am if you park on the streets, but once you get there you won't need it. While the staff provided very minimal information at check-in, the stay was quite nice. The room is very simple and... More

If you are looking for excitement and all amenities ... try somewhere else. If you want relaxation, atmosphere, history and an overall great experience, stay at the Selkirk. The ability to travel the grounds in early evening and nighttime as well as wake up to see costumed staff, horses and vintage cars in the streets is worth the price alone.... More

The Hotel Selkirk is an experience unlike any others we have encountered in Canada. Once you figure out the convoluted way to the parking lot of the hotel, it's a wonderful location. Better signage would certainly aid this. One minor drawback is that you cannot pull your vehicle right up to the hotel to unload your luggage until after the... More

Our stay was marred by a series og issues: 1) The staff miscommunicated the features of the room rate we selected. 2) Cleaning staff left a humongous sharp pin in the middle of our carpet (thankfully noone stepped on it). When I took it to the front desk clerk, she said a very weak "oh" and threw it out. No... More

Loved the corner suite with ensuite bathroom with clawfoot tub. Unless of course you like to shower, then you are out of luck. Clean, quiet, welcoming establishment. However, don't plan on exceptional food service in the restaurant. More

I won my stay at the Hotel Selkirk and will go back. It's a charming period hotel nestled within the grounds of Fort Edmonton Park. Peaceful and relaxing within the bustle of the city. The staff are dressed in period costume and some take on the role of the folks who roamed the hallways during the hotel's hayday. The clawfoot... More

We stayed here on our way to Anchorage on our Harleys....so we when we arrived - the dirt roads were not what we had expected....but not a problem. (Easy for me to say - I was just the passenger!) :) The hotel is ON the grounds of Ft. Edmonton Park so you can spend your day there at no additional... More

It's hard to get them to answer the phone to make a reservation, but if you are as dedicated to staying there as I was - it was a great place! The food is pricey in the restaurant but fun. The employees are friendly and helpful. Russell was our waiter in the evenings and he was terrific!!! It is right... More
