We stayed here for the Valentine's Day 2015 Couples Weekend. We had such an AMAZING time we are currently trying to plan a wedding here. The hotel is quaint, and it is beautifully set in the River Valley. The rooms are vintage, with a modern take as plumbing is a necessity. There is no tv which we love because connecting... More

An opportunity to stay in the heart of Edmonton at the living museum Fort Edmonton in a 1920's themed Hotel was a no brainer given the inexpensive rate and park passes included. It exceeded my expectations. The rooms while not authentic do pay a fair tribute to the time period it honours. They do lack T.V.s but not to worry... More

Went to 'Scary Nasty' at the Capital Theatre in Fort Edmonton Park and had dinner at the Selkirk Hotel. It was an awsome all you can eat buffet. We ordered a realy nice bottle of Chilean merlot. The desert table was ginormouse.

We stumbled upon Hotel Selkirk on a trip through Western Canada and boy what a treat. We arrive at Fort Edmonton around 7, after the park had closed. Getting in was a little foreign, the park is fully gated. Once you find the gate you'll need to buzz the front desk so the can let you in. Anyway entering the... More

A reproduction of the original Selkirk which burnt down in 1962, so the plaque says, and a good job has been made of it. The 20's theme is superb, however it lacks! No TV in rooms, why? Because there was no TV in the 20's, neither was there wifi, aircon, central heating, and probably not hot running water, lame excuse!... More

We arrived at the hotel coming in the back road to Fort Edmonton. It felt like we were breaking in it was such a weird feeling to be there after hours. Most of the cars in the parking lot were gone and we just scooted past everyone and drove to the hotel via a service entrance. The staff were very... More

We booked out the park for my birthday and the management team was excellent while the event took place. However, prior to the event no one would return our calls, one person would say one thing and another person the complete opposite. we also tried to book the brunch, which they said was sold out - but it only had... I read the reviews with my kids and we had a little laugh; people were complaining about the sheets and not having TV. My kids pointed out there wasn't TV during that time period. Perhaps, management has replaced the sheets since the previous reviews but no complaints from us. The service has been really good. Everyone is friendly, accommodating and... More

Chose this hotel for its historic significance in the development of the City of Edmonton. The hotel itself did not disappoint but the service level did. The reception staff were very friendly and efficent but have lapses in attending the front desk, passing along telephone messages (telephone out of order) and in knowing the restaurant hours and service provided. On... More
