I'd just spent a week in a gloomy Calgary hotel so the Westin in Edmonton was a pleasant contrast. The rooms were full of natural light, large and contemporary with terrific views over the valley The location is excellent and there were some fine restaurants nearby. Downstairs was perfectly okay and there was a bar in the lobby. The staff... more

I'll start with the only thing I didn't like about the hotel, parking is limited. The West-in has a parking lot, but once it fills up they have other off-site locations which is an inconvenience with a family that includes young children. Pool is standard, I didn't see a hot-tub though, but there are saunas. Location is great, city centre... more

This Hotel was by far the best I have ever stayed in while in Edmonton. I have stayed at two other higher end hotel's while in Edmonton and I have to admit that neither of them could compete. The room I stayed in was only a traditional but it still had all the amenities that many hotel's charge extra for.... more

I stayed here in June 2009. First I would like to stay the hotel staff are fantastic! The people working the front desk were great and accommodated my request to be on the same floor as my colleagues. The concierge was extremely helpful! She gave me very detailed directions and information on restaurants in the area. I also asked for... more

Thank you for your kind comments regarding the bell staff, I will ensure they are aware. The pool is kept at 78 degrees normally as some guests like to swim laps. The housekeepers and minibar attendents should be aware of occupied rooms and be more carefull not to disturb our guests. It is essential to a restfull stay and we...

This hotel will charge you for everything. Parking is overpriced in my opinion. We were fortunate to park in the underground lot at the public library on Easter weekend and ended getting parking free on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. If you're there on a stat holiday definately do the library parking. I was very disappointed with the pool. My... more

Was here for a few nights for a conference. I agree with a lot of the other reviewers that it does charge for all the extra services and the pool was still closed (however, they did have a pool at a another hotel that you could use). I would have appreciated some complimentary internet access at least in the lobby... more

I stayed at the Westin Edmonton for one night on a business trip, and overall it was alright. I'm not sure I would stay there again, but that's simply because I think I could find a better value at another hotel in the same area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the business centre... more

Westin Edmonton is eveything you would expect from a downtown hotel. It is conveniently located in the downtown area (Jasper Ave NW & 100 St NW) It is very clean as the decor and furniture were recently updated. We stayed one night with my toddler on May 1st, 2009. I will start with what I did NOT like: 1) The... more

Have stayed at other Westin's that are a notch above. Charge extra for everything - internet, parking ($25!). Coffee in lobby bar is $5.50. Pleasant staff in lobby bar, doorman a little snarly. Would not return. Have got much better value at other hotels in area at the same price, including Crowne Plaza, Marriott and Sutton Place more

We wanted a downtown hotel and this one was in a great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were quite nice. The only negatives I have is that the $26/day for parking was a little steep. I had expected to pay parking at a downtown hotel, but this was more than I had thought. They wanted to charge me... more

Thank you for your comment from your recent stay at the Westin Edmonton. Parking is unforunatley at a premium in downtown Edmonton amd Managed by Imperial Parking. The hotel has negotiated a flat rate with Imperial Parking to allow guest in and out privileges ,which would be more expensive if using Parking without register ing at the hotel. In addition...
