i was an out of town surgery patient so i chose to stay at this hotel for the location and it was the most cost effective hotel in the area. at this hotel i was able to sleep without any noise distractions, my wake-up call was precise and the staff were extremly curtious and polite. We were very impressed with the size and cleanliness of the rooms. It looks like they have done some renovations recently, and are in the progress of doing even more. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location and easy to get to. more

We really appreciate when our guests take time to write a review whether it is good or bad it helps us to determine where we are doing a good job and where we are failing. As this guest has written there have been many changes, some in progress and more to come. We are listening to what you have to...

I booked a room and stayed with my wife and kid.in the morning woke up to find my new SUV window shattered and door jimmied.I reported it to the staff and I was rudely strayed away by being told that it's fairly common there.I am never staying there and would discourage everybody as it has got safety issues plus the... more

Staff and Management are always concerned and disappointed when one of our guests becomes a victim of theft or vandalism. Unfortuntely, you have no recourse but to make a police report and sumbit that to your insurance company, the hotel is not responsible or liable for theft or vandalism. This is a standard hotel policy everywhere. We can help you...

We stayed at the the West Harvest in During August long weekend for 5 nights. The hotel is just plain. They were renovating while we were staying there which scared me that we would hear the construction and renovating going on.....but.....we never heard a thing. The rooms are really well sound proof. We really liked the desk area and the... more

The West Harvest Inn is in transition as this guest said or under renovation. Because we are a concrete building we are quiet. All the rooms have been painted and repaired ceiling to floor, new lamps, pictures, vanity lamps, baseboards, beds, coverlets, skirts, drapes, porcelaine floor is being place in bathrooms, granite countertops are arriving next week, and the list...

I stayed there and have stayed there many times. This was the worst EXPERIENCE I have ever had at this hotel. First of all does it matter who's name the room is reserved in as long as when i leave I AM PAYING THE BILL???? We go over this EVERYTIME I stay there. The room is reserved in my husbands... more

This guest had every right to be upset with the service they received from one of my former Front Desk Agents. The sad truth is that not all staff are created equal. Most of my staff take pride in their work and make it their goal to please our guests but one staff member can cause all the rest to...

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!!! My finance and I as well as my brother had booked this room for the weekend June 2008. The ladies at the front desk was very unprofessional, and straight up RUDE. To keep the story short, they charged my credit card TWICE! Once for the security deposit of 250.00 and the second time WITHOUT... more

There are always two sides to every story but in this case there are three. I received a call from one of our regular guests who was in the lobby when my staff tried to explain to this lady our policy for pre-authorizing credit cards at check in. He assured me that my staff went above and beyond for this...

We had to cut our journey to Jasper short by a day, namely because the lakes were still frozen. So, instead we drove over to Edmonton for the day. This hotel's best quality is the price....we paid $95 for a double bed room, which was amazing. The rooms were very clean, front desk helpful, and the location is convenient to... more

I do like the fact that the rooms are non-smoking, However what makes me unhappy is that I had to sign a $250 fee that would be deducted from me if there were pets or smoking done in my room. Well thats fine however the room stunk of cigarette, there were also numerous burns in the carpet. would it not... more

The West Harvest Inn went completely 100% non-smoking January 1st 2008. We had 20 rooms that were still smoking up to the 31st of December. We contracted a company to come into our smoking rooms to eliminate the smell of smoke in the carpets, walls & ceilings. Unfortunately, this guest was booked into one of these rooms prior to it...

I've postponed writing a review because I wanted to be fair. First of all, I booked this hotel online the day that I was to arrive. It was the only hotel in west Edmonton that had a room big enough for my party of 6. It didn't have a pool, and that was really the only reason I didn't look... more

This was a very unfortunate situation. The writer of this review had booked online through a online reservation company. The guest requested a family room which we have only 2 of. These rooms are not supposed to be in our online inventory. We had just changed our online reservation company and somehow this room was listed in their inventory at...

My parents stayed in the hotel from sept 22nd to 30th sep 2007. When they checked in, they gave their debit card number only to guarantee the room. Two days later, my fathercancelled the debit card and he provided his credit instead. Two days later, unfortunately my father lost this cancelled receipt, so he asked me to ask JUST for... more

The request made for personal information from someone other than the guest was understood the very first call. "Sandy" was given the explanation that due to the privacy act we are unable to give personal information to anyone other than the guest unless given the guests authorization to do so. My Front Desk Manager spoke to me about this request...
