This place is a dive. I can't believe it's a Sutton Place. One may think they are at a truck stop in the 1970s. All I can say is that I wouldn't recommend this to any colleague or friends. The staff are ok, not mean....but not very customer service oriented either. They forgot to provide a wake up call. Water... More

I stayed in this room as part of a Valentine's day promotion. We received chocolate covered strawberries, sparkling wine and a lovely breakfast in bed. The food was quite good. The room decor was perhaps a bit outdated but it was still very nice and clean. The only negative for this hotel is that it is close to a casino... More

I booked The Sutton Place in Edmonton for the Hayhouse, I can do it conference for my Mom and I as I had stayed at the BEAUTIFUL Sutton Place in downtown Vancouver, so thought it would be a sure bet. Our arrival was met with no parking except for pay parking across the street in a parkade and valet parking... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for comments. Our hotel is currently in the process of renovating our guest rooms and corridors and our housekeeping department have ample staff on hand to keep our hotel clean and presentable at all times during this process. Our guest elevators are also receiving major mechanical and cosmetic upgrades to improve this service and will hopefully... More

I stayed at this hotel for the Victoria Day weekend with my girlfriend. We initially thought the Sutton Place was a fairly good value and booked on the hotel's website using their Savour Sutton package rate, which included 2 free options (I selected the free valet parking as one of them). When we checked in, we were informed that the... More

Thank you for your comments As you are probably aware the Sutton Place Hotel Edmonton is in the process of conducting major renovations to our guest rooms and public areas. We are hoping to have everything completed by the time the new arena is completed. We are truly excited about the development in the downtown area surrounding the hotel. With... More

Parking at this hotel is a joke, was told it was 31.00 a night to park in their hotels lot. 90.00 total for the weekend. Turns out their lot was closed for parking this weekend and we had to park across the street in a different parkade called bell tower. Found out as we were leaving the parkade that it... More

Thank you for your comments. Our apologies for not making the parking fees transparent during your stay. The Sutton Place Hotel Edmonton does not own or operate any parking facility. Our hotel uses local suppliers to provide us enough spaces to offer the convenient parking to our guests but the hotel itself pays the posted market rates. Unlike most hotels... More

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this hotel. Yes it is a 70's building (I think), Yes they are renovating. Yes (some floors) water is shut off from 10am to 4pm. But because of the reviews by other people we thought we are coming to a roach motel. My wife was so worried and so... More

This hotel is a bit dated and expensive when compared to others in the area for the price range. Parking is also expensive and the hotel elevators are pretty slow at times. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The best part about the hotel is the pool and hot tub on the top floor with an excellent view. Great... More

My daughter and I booked this hotel when she was in Edmonton to compete in a competition over the weekend. Worst choice for a hotel ever. The room's air conditioning did not work. It was so hot and stuffy that at 3:00 a.m. I went down to the front desk to request a fan. The clerk told me that I... More

The hotel is a bit run down and dated. The elevators don't all work. A bit of a concern in a 25 story hotel at busy time. The staff is friendly and helpful enough and it seems like there are renos going on.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The staff in the lounge were also very friendly. The hotel was plain the room dated, although they are renovating. The elevators were slow I was stuck twice on the elevator. This was a work event and so choice of hotel not mine. we used the banquet facilities and I found the banquet staff... More
