It's an older building, but rooms are very nicely updated with hardwood floors and character furnishings. The HVAC isn't great and rooms tend to be a bit warm in winter, even if you open the windows. A little traffic noise in the morning if you face towards the avenue. The restaurant provides great food, free breakfast buffet, free parking, free... More

Stayed at the Chateau Louis for one night. Brenda at check in was very nice and accommodating as we had a bit of an early check in. Hotel was clean. Room was decent, good bedding. Bed was firm but comfortable. Bathroom was nice but small. Lighting was not the best for getting ready or putting on make up. The only... More

We stayed in a King room after attending our corporate Holiday party at the conference facility. The room was nice. It was very clean and very quiet. The room had a mini fridge and a small Keurig single coffee machine. My only suggestion is that it have a microwave too. The breakfast buffet was quite nice and the staff were... More

We travel with our dog, and the Chateau Louis Hotel is a hotel we have often stayed at. The hotel has a park close by, grassy areas to walk your dog and lots of garbage cans to dispose of poop bags. For the human family members, the breakfast (complimentary) is something we always look forward to. The hotel is quiet... More

This hotel is part of an often used conference/banquet facility, located north of the downtown core, but near the Kingsway mall and hospital facilities in this area of Edmonton. It is not a new facility, but contrary to some of the other reviews, I found the housekeeping in the lobby, dining room, and certainly my room to be very good.... More

Because I was attending an event at the conference centre it made sense to book into the hotel on site. If it hadn't been for the proximity of my event and lack of any other hotels in walking distance I would have walked out immediately. The room was dirty and lacking basics; the heating didn't work, no fan in bathroom.... More

We booked into a Jacuzzi room. It was filthy. There was dirt on the tiles around the tub, there was dirt on the side going down to the floor, there was dirt on the floor around the tub. You could even see a dirty shoe print on the floor in front of the tub. There was a wrapper from a... More

An accident in the Rockies caused an unexpected stay in Edmonton - 2009. My husband had broken his ankle in several places and after operations at the local hospital they recommended Chateau Louis and what excellent advice. Stranded in an unknown country in an unknown hotel we could not have stayed in a more caring environment. The owner treated us... More

This hotel is very dated and is getting bait shabby. The room was clean but that was about it. Breakfast was included and it was OK by hotel standards. We were at a function in the conference centre and it was a nice venue but not connected to the hotel and there is part of the walkway that was not... More

Stayed at this hotel for a family get together. First off, the customer service at the restaurant for the morning buffet was the WORST I have ever experienced. They barely acknowledged me and my family's existence, and once they brought you coffee ( if you were lucky) you would never see them again.!!!. They went to a back room somewhere... More
