This was my third visit to chateau Lacombe and I must say that there was a major improvement in the decor and feel of the hotel. This time I booked a room on a concierge level and the room have been renovated and they look great. I like this hotel because the staff is very helpful and nice. All that... More

I'm constantly traveling for business and this hotel staff is by far one of the worst when it comes to the way they treat their guests. The staff is very rude and short with guests. They are un-accommodating with the simpliest simple requests. They don't want to be bothered with any questions. The hotel itself is very clean and well... More

I have stayed here several times when I visit Edmonton on business. It is in the core downtown area and is very close to businesses I need to visit. The rooms are quite nice overall, but the bathtubs need to be replaced in few rooms. They are old and cracked. The staff was friendly. Great view of the valley as... More

I hadn't stayed at the Chateau Lacombe for about 10 years but because of it's location to various meetings, I thought I should give it a try. Yes, the location was good and I would recommend the executive floors which are nice. Improvements have been made but I did find it a little noisy from the street trafffc. I would... More

Stayed here as part of an anniversary package. It's a great deal and the LaRonde restaraunt cannot be beat. However despite some nice style upgrades this building still has paper thin walls and lacks some amenities such as a room safe. Would I stay here again?...yes as far as a stay and play night.

We really liked the hotel. The rooms are modern and seem like they are recently updated. The hotel is in a great location. Right on the edge of downtown with great views of the city and river. I thought the staff was friendly. Especially the cleaning staff who all really liked our 1 year old little girl. The gym was... More

I stayed two nights in Chateau Lacombe and was very happy with my experience. I recommend staying on the concierge levels. The concierge lounge was very well appointed and offered a relaxing retreat. There was a host bar and the breakfast and evening appetizers were appreciated. I liked that I could grab a fresh pot of tea at anytime. The... More

This hotel is not as nice as you would think it would be based on it being considered one of the nicer hotels in Edmonton. We stayed on one of the upper floors, which was considered their upgraded rooms. I felt that it was rather standard and nothing special. The room and bathroom were both renovated, so I assume the... My husband, 2 small kids & I stayed at the Chateau Lacombe & it was ok. The beds in our room were both doubles which, when you are used to Queen size, is cozy (especially with squirming kids!!) Our room was simple & clean. The pipes made funny sounds when you turned on any of the bathroom taps & the... More

3 stars for now, hopefully 4 stars after the renovation. Prices are low for this type of hotel, in the downtown area. Cumfy, car park is convenient, restaurant at the top of the tower is a must do for lovers. The location is great wit hthe city center mall just a block away. Very easy to access by car.
