The only things this hotel have going for it are the view and the revolving restaurant but other then that it's a cheap standard hotel. Our room card didn't work in the elevator so we couldn't get to our floor without an exchange. The fitness center is 3 treadmills, 2 elipticals a stairmaster, a 4in1exersize machine which had 1 part... more

EVery room has a great view in the round hotel. I thought it was very elegant and affordable at the same time. Service was excellent, staff made us feel welcome and glad to be there. more

The reviews here are accurate if a little harsh and I don't think you should be deterred from staying here if you're looking for a downtown hotel walkable (in good weather) to the Shaw Conference Centre. Granted that the hotel is dated, but much of it is cosmetic and it's not like the place is falling apart. The renos have... more

We have stayed at this hotel a few times and never have had a problem. The Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are always nice. It is worth the few dollars more to get the river view. For a special evening out, the revolving restraunt on the top floor of the hotel is great. more

This once proud hotel is going through a reno, and it's long overdue. It's clean and the service was good....but if you get an older room, be prepared for an outdated and stale room. Avoid until their done. more

The stellar views of the city and surrounding landscape were overshadowed by the outdated furnishings. The walls along the elevator and hallways needed a scrubbing, brass plates needed polishing, elevator buttons needed replacing, carpets needed a steam cleaning and to be nailed down again... If nicely decorated rooms aren't necessary for you, then you'd probably like the hotel because it... more

I stayed one night on the 23rd floor of this aging hotel The good - spectacular view; my reservation specifically stated river view - reasonably priced on the weekend - central location, it's just a short walk to Churchill Square Arts District (music hall, theatre, library) - lobby has updated furniture and carpet - closet in my room is fairly... more

I stayed at the Chateau Lacombe for a night with my husband and 4-month-old son in a junior suite. I booked it directly through the hotel's telephone booking. Our package included breakfast. I specifically asked if it included breakfast at the hotel's revolving rooftop restaurant, La Ronde (they have a fantastic buffet brunch), and the attendant told me it did,... more

We where so excited to come to Chateau lacombe.. What a disappointment that was.. Our room was not the cleanest ,the bathroom tub had grantite off in places.. About 10.30 an alarm went off we all had to vacate, small fire in the basement .Outside in the cold for over an hour.. We had to run down stairs 11 floors... more
