I booked this hotel for 3 nights both at the beginning and end of our holiday and am writing this after our first night (25th June 09)room 265. I was struggling to find a budget hotel with avaiabilty during the annual Calgary Stampede events and booked this before reading the other trip advisor reports. After reading them later I was... more

I stayed 2 nights here- i booked a king room and when checking in wasnt ready so i was checked into a room with two queen beds. The room was dated, but clean and beds comfortable. The bathroom was clean and all services worked. Only one lamp didnt work. The room was on the road side with the LRT also-... more

I booked a double room on points...and prior to reading any reviews on this site. Mistake! This hotel is a very dated property, and it's clear that management isn't very interested in providing any modern amenities, or even an average level of comfort, to its guests. Beds and furniture suites were old, bedding was thin, and the bathroom was incredibly... more

My car developed problems in Canmore AB. The closest authorized dealer certified to work on my vehicle under warranty was in Calgary, (wrong direction as I'm from the BC coast) so I got a tow back here. I put my two teenagers on a greyhound bus back to BC, for which I am now very grateful. I came to Motel... more

Nice clean room, king bed had 6 pillows. Free continental breakfast in the morning was a little small but had apples, oranges, fresh waffles, and yogurt. Paid 95.00 for the king bed and the hotel next door was 120.00, this hotel was a very good value for the money paid more

I have to say that when I am on vacation, my destination is not the hotel, but rather the town/city I came to visit. I need a clean room, clean beds and a clean washroom. Grad week was on when I was there and there were partiers in the building. I did not hear them at all. Also, the manager... more

We have lived overseas since 1986 and have stayed at some very basic accommodation in places like Tibet, Thailand, and a border town in Malaysia where we had to padlock ourselves in, yet never had we had anywhere such an unbelievable experience as we did in Calgary. It was Stampede Week and it seemed the entire city was booked. We... more

This was possibly the worst hotel, that I have ever stayed. Rooms , was dirty, carpet filthy, smelled of smoke, room was old and worn out and was badly in need of upgrading cost was $111.00 for a single, note that I would not have brought a wife into this motel. more

I was in Calgary and decided to spend the night before travelling to Banff. I drove to motel village, first to a different hotel and ended up being fully booked. If i knew motel village was right beside mcmahon stadium, i wouldn't have tried to find a hotel there. There was unfortunately a game the night we showed up. That... more

This motel was, quite simply, terrible. The walls are thin so you can hear everything your neighbor is saying and doing. The door in the second building slams loudly anytime someone comes or goes. The rooms were of a questionable cleanliness (mysterious "white" stains on the carpet, if you catch my drift). Rooms designated as non-smoking had clearly been smoked... more
