I have been to the Palliser many times and it is a solid choice for business travellers. It is well located to the downtown head offices and has a nice bar for post-dinner unwind and a very good breakfast option before heading out to morning meetings. The hotel is clearly older, but all the rooms I have stayed in have... More

We booked a Fairmont Gold Room on the Concierge level and if ever returning would not do so again,it was not worth the extra money. This hotel was quite expensive, this maybe because The Calgary Stampede was taking place. The lounge at concierge level was very pleasant and good for light snacks, coffee and soft drinks. The food in the bar downstairs... More

We had a great stay at this hotel. As is typical for Fairmont properties, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They really made us feel welcome. This hotel maintains its traditional elegance in the public areas while featuring wonderfully updated guest rooms. The decor is very classy and the room extremely comfortable. The bathroom we had was tight, but... More

Only stayed overnight and very jet lagged so the comfortable quen bed was very welcome, as were the heavy fully overlapping curtains, bathroom very snug but clean and adequate. Staff at hotel fantastic and efficient. Only complaint were the silly twiddley bedside lamp switches. You have to join fairmont club to use wifi in room. Ricidulous.

I stayed two nights at the Palliser in July 2015 to attend a wedding. The hotel itself is over 100 years old, and has retained much of that old-time luxury and opulence. We found the service to be outstanding; the staff are friendly without being "buddy-buddy", and extremely professional. Every extra request we had was dealt with immediately and correctly.... More

I stayed in the Fairmont for two - 1 week long stays this December for work. The first room was a little larger, with a nice sized bathroom and older-style decor (not shabby or outdated, just a more gold-edged, old-school style look that matched their lobby). Great room, comfortable bed, cool i-pod clock radio. Nice bathroom. The second room was... More

Wonderful stay (2 days). Stayed here in 1996 and had a great time. Now after 19 years stayed again. Used Concierge, for flowers on our anniversary. Great job. Front desk agent combined my two different night stays onto one bill so I did not have to change rooms. Had afternoon Tea, excellent. Valet parking and Bell crew excellent. Hotel in... More

Extremely expensive if you don't book in advance. Nice hotel but not over the top nice. Other hotels near by are just as nice for less. Sometimes its just nice to brag that you stayed at a "Fairmont Hotel".

Thank you for your feedback. We hope to entirely delight you upon your next stay with us. Stampede is surely a peak season for us, though it's one of the best times to come visit and see our city in it's most hospitable light! Best, Jacqueline Tyler Communications Manager Fairmont Palliser More

My second visit to this excellently situated hotel. A traditional style building that fits its location. Rooms were excellent and a decent size, breakfast was absolutely wonderful with a huge choice buffet style with eggs cooked to order.
