This is a nice option if you prefer to stay downtown. Calgary is not the easiest city to get around due to traffic and deteriorating roads but this one is actually fairly convenient. Each time we stay at this property we request a room with a normal sized bathroom but still have yet to experience this "luxury". We use Fairmont upgrades and are given a junior suite but oh my,the bathrooms are TINY. The lobby is gorgeous, the bar comfortable and the dining room very good (but expensive). Stayed at the Fairmont for two nights. Went for high floor which was good but room was compact. The hotel is obviously old and you go for these reasons so you cannot expect the highest standard of decor. Breakfast buffet excellent. more
