We stayed 2 nights in this wonderful old hotel! It was in close proximity to the Stampede - we went to both the night and a day stampede the next day! We saw floats through the streets, we saw stalls set up with the people just happy to be included in the excitement of the Stampede. The staff were all... More

The Palliser is lovely -- big, high vaulted lobby, updated well-appointed rooms. The staff is superb. But when are high end hotels going to get the memo that the rest of the world is giving away wi-fi for free? It's like charging for hot water. Instead, these hotels want 13 or 15 dollars a day, perhaps the single most alienating... More

Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay with us - we're sorry to hear you found the registration purpose/process for Fairmont President's Club an annoyance - it's only to get to know our guests better and determine their passions as we love to surprise and delight our guests. We hope you then, enjoyed the free access to Wi-Fi.... More

And the Palliser did not disappoint ... Great location and friendly staff... It's great value for your $$$ in downtown Calgary (which is pricey - all year round due to oil prices!) we will stay again next time we visit. Valet your car as everything is within walking distance !

We're so happy you found value in your room rate to stay with us! Your indeed right, many corporate business travelers visit our city from Sunday thru Wednesday which impacts demand, which impacts rate. Visit us on a weekend to find our rates even that much more affordable. Best, Jacqueline Tyler Communications Manager The Fairmont Palliser More

First off, we loved that this beautiful and historic hotel is close to Calgary Tower, restaurants, and Stephen Avenue. We only spent 3 days in Calgary and it was easy to explore the landmarks nearby. There's Starbucks downstairs if you need caffeine fix. It also helped us that the bus stop to take you to and from the airport is... More

Hello there, Thank you for your recent review with us - we're happy to hear you found our location convenient and that Starbucks met your coffee needs! The train schedule too, varies throughout the year, so we're happy to hear you didn't find it a bother. It's a special place, the hotel's site, in that the traxx are what connected... More

We checked in to a one bedroom suite that was apparently remodelled. The bathroom had black mould all around the tub. It is a health hazard not to mention disgusting. They upgraded us to another room which was clean. We've stayed at Fairmonts in LA, Mexican Riviera, Vancouver, etc and have come to expect clean rooms and friendly staff.

Hello there, We regret to hear of this unfortunate situation regarding the installation of our new upgraded bathtubs and would like to know more about what room number you're in. This is not Fairmont standards by any means and if you could kindly contact us directly to learn more, we'd very much appreciate it. Best, Jacqueline Tyler Communications Manager The... More

The Fairmont Palliser offered us the most ideal location to fully enjoy the Calgary stampede. From the moment we arrived the staff at the Palliser couldn't have been more helpful and friendly allowing us to get on with enjoying our holiday.

We recently stayed at the Palliser and it was terrific! Stay on the Gold Floor if you can as the rooms are nicely updated and the Gold Floor Lounge was terrific. We had dinner in the dining room on two nights and it was fantastic with great service.

If you are coming to Calgary for the Stampede - then this is the only hotel. It sits directly in the middle of the parade route and offers ample seating in the shade, plus the hotel will reserve a seat for you if you plan ahead. the hotel and it's storied history are fascinating - look it up for yourself.... Stayed one night in Calgary during the Stampede and found that this hotel lived up to the typical standards of a Fairmont - great service and location within a classic, historic building. We were given an upgraded room with more modern bathroom finishings so that contributed to our positive experience. One complaint (or suggestion) I would note was with the... More
