Stayed here on two occasions with business. The hotel is midway through a total renovation which when completed will probably address most of the issues. The lobby and upper floors have been renovated so I'd strongly recommend asking for a room on the upper floors. The none renovated rooms are spacious and comfortable but very dated and worn. Breakfast buffet... More

Do not stay here until they assure you all the renovations are done. On my recent stay there were disruptions due to the work being done. The shining light of this hotel was the breakfast buffet. Lots of choices and quite reasonable. The parking is not at the hotel so valet is really the only option as self park has... More

After trying to decide between various downtown Calgary hotels I booked a room at the Downtown Marriott and I was pleasantly surprised. The Marriott has the BEST location in my opinion. We valet parked our vehicle and were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. LOTS of Shopping and Restaurants on Stephen Avenue which is a 2 minute walk.... More

Located convenitly in downtown Calgary for business meeting. Only draw back is traffice and if someone is meeting you they will have trouble finding parking space. Several good places to eat Canadian grade A beef or if your into Asian food there are plenty of options. The downtown area is has enclosed upper level walk ways so you never have... More

This hotel is in a great location downtown. Close to the Stampede Grounds and everything else. We knew going into it that there was still renovations which wasn't a problem. The problems started just before 8:00am on Saturday morning when the contractor started to do work on the room directly above us. Renos are not supposed to start until 10:30am.... More

Stayed here for one night during the Brier and was quite pleased. The hotel was a reasonable price at $139.00 per night and valet parking was $25.00 per night. Close to shops and restaurants and was also clues to the Saddledome. Construction was not an issue and we stayed in one of the old rooms, which was still okay. This... More

I'd like to say that the only reason this place did not get 5 is because I felt that the housekeeping staff was pushy. I was here for a wedding and they're renovating several floors, so the hotel offered free Wi-Fi to guests as a sort of apology which I was happy to accept. The view was directly across the... More

It appears the property is undergoing a reno/refresh that cannot happen soon enough. My room was very dated. Check-in took longer than it should have too. In their defense, front-desk staff reinforcements did not take long to arrive, in-room wireless was free and they apologized and requested patience. I would go back after the reno/refresh is complete but not before.

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and construction. I have stayed here two weeks and had an older un-renovated room and a newly renovated room. The updated room is very stylish and comfortable. It was on an upper floor with a partial view of the mountains. The construction is an inconvenience, but was not an issue for me during my... More

I had an enjoyable stay at the Marriott - good room, comfortable bed (just what you need after 15+ hours in the air), and well positioned for both my night at the hockey and my escape to Banff via the light rail line and the Greyhound bus (a bus in North America... The bus station was certainly an experience). On... More
