I've certainly stayed at nicer Hyatt's but the Calgary Hyatt was just fine. The check in lady was very welcoming. I was upgraded (not sure why) even though I'm only a Platinum member. The room was spacious enough and had a great view. The concierge lounge was small but the staff tried hard. The smallness of the lounge was OK... more
We stayed at this hotel for one night while visiting family in Calgary. We opted for the underground parking ($25/day), and were glad that we did, as it meant not having a cold car to get into in the morning when it was -36 outside. My initial impression of the hotel was a good one. I was greeted warmly by... more
I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Calgary for conference at the end of October 2008. The hotel is very central to shopping and lots of restaurants. I found the room a little dated and it was rather shabby around the edges (paint peeling, scuff marks, worn carpet, etc). I was also disappointed that there was no flat-screen TV. Bathroom amenities... more
We stayed in a king room, it was lovely. The bed was amazing, the staff where very helpfull. The bar was a tad expensive, but the breakfast was great( especially the corned beef hash). Would definatly stay there again. more
My wife & I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Calgary for a meeting I was attending in mid September 2008. The hotel is right downtown near Stephen St. (the restaurant is on Stephen St.) which is a multi-block pedestrian mall. This is it's best feature. I can't complain about anything related to the room, the service or the facilities. They... more
The hotel was clean but seemed very empty - we arrived the week after the Stampede and I think everyone had left town. The gym facilities were excellent and as it was very quiet there was never any problem finding a running machine. more
Stayed there on our way back from two weeks in Banff, Alberta and even combined with the Cirque du Soleil being in Calgary at that time (awesome circus - if you get the chance to go, do not hesitate a second). Stayed there for 3 nights and booked king size / Regency Club Room. Everything was excellent, from the location... more
The Hyatt lobby is impressive. The staff was VERY helpful in every interaction. Our room was very, very small. When you have to maneuver between the desk and the bed, that's small. The carpet was stained and we never did succeed in getting heat (it gets cold early in Canada!) These are not minor complaints. However, on the plus side,... more
Firstly parking prices were outrageous! $50 for 2 days, thank goodness for that little exchange difference. Okay so along those lines let's see I asked the front desk to exchange money, she did just that gave me dollars US for Canadian dollars, same AMOUNT! UGH! Upon stealing from me, she then she tells I can take the train to the... more
