To my surprise, I found out the International Hotel in Calgary had a women's only floor. It was great for the solo woman traveler (specially if you're on business as I was). What a find! The International Hotel is located in the downtown of Calgary and is within easy walking distance of all downtown activities, business or pleasure. The rooms are exactly as pictured on the website and if a huge well appointed room is on your list, this is the place to stay when you need to be in downtown Calgary.... more

On arrival, front desk had no record of booking, so informed us that we need to rebook. I handed over the confirmation email and was told that that wasnt sent from them, even though it was sent from them. Although the corridors were a bit dark the rooms (or mini apartments) were great. The beds were so comfortable and the whole feel was luxurious. It's very central and easy to get to from the airport. Teenagers liked their own space too. more
