Ok I am a Starwood high end junkie, but they hit the nail right on the head with their element and aloft brands. I stayed here 1-2 times a month over past 2 years and never get tired of the comfy (super, UBER comfy beds and pillows). The bar is really fun (as far as hotel bars go) but the... More

Hotels in this area of Calgary are very generic and generally not something to look forward to. Aloft was better than expected with nice modern bathrooms and European style bedding. No more dirty bedspreads! Breakfast was good and pool area was clean. There are no views and windows do not open but AC works well. I love the incentive to... More

i stayed at the Aloft for a weekend in February and loved it. I travel regularly to Calgary and usually go from one hotel to another in search of something nice - well the search is over. I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was great and the decor was amazing, from the graphics in the rooms to the... More

I stayed at the Aloft Calgary University Jan, 26 to 29 for work. I'm not very familiar with Calgary and really didn't want to have to drive downtown for meetings every day, so was pleasantly surprised to find this budget-friendly hotel steps from the public train (C-train). My room, on the second floor, was HUGE for one person (two queen... More

This is an awesome hotel just yards away from the C train. Super easy to get to from the airport. Take the #100 bus to the 202 train at McKnight Westwinds station and then connect at any of the downtown stations to the 201 (Tuscany). Get off at Banff trail station and the hotel is right there. The rooms are... More

The worst part of this stay was that I couldn't stay longer. Beautiful lobby and lounge area with friendly staff and equally gorgeous rooms that are so comfortable and clean. I enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the lounge (great fish tacos) and a decent cocktail. Loved that breakfast was included (Full buffet breakfast! Not just stingy toast!). Didn't take advantage... More

This was a very good stay. The hotel common areas are colorful, with an open feel. They had a mini store/pantry where you could buy snacks/drinks if you wanted. Breakfast is included and was reasonably good for a free hotel breakfast. The rooms were well laid out. Each side table by the bed had a plugin above the table and... More

This hotel is very good. Friendly service, free breakfast that has lots of hot and cold options and drinks. Definitely one of the highlights. Stylish, clean room. Free parking. Not the best location, not very walkable, but it had free parking and we had a car so it was fine. A coffee shop kinda nearby and a famous Calgary restaurant... More

We were very impressed with this hotel. Clean, funky, conveniently located, friendly accommodating staff, and best of all, at least for us... they are TOTALLY dog friendly-- a dog bed, bowls and treat was set up in our room upon arrival. The hotel also has a decent little gym, spin studio and a small pool, with good free wifi, ample... More
