It is not rundown but a good way of describing this hotel is "dated". It is like being in a late 1960's time warp. The browns and beiges of a long gone era. The only thing missing was orange shag carpets. The room, however, was clean and the staff very friendly. The convention venue was excellent. Their breakfast brunch is... More

Stayed over weekend for party in Calgary. Some slight disruptions due to construction ongoing. It was not a noise problem or anything but entrance slightly hidden. Front desk staff amazing. Went way out of their way to help out. Overall the hotel is in a wonderful southwest location, has fun bars and superb staff More

Thanks you for your comments regarding your recent stay. We were disappointed you think the rooms are dated....all the rooms have brand new beds and bedding, flat screen TVS, mini fridges and complimentary internet. The majority of our guestrooms have all been renovated in the past two years. More

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times, and always rested well. The staff at the hotel and restaurant are extremely helpful. I was disappointed with no server approaching me for breakfast service --- but it is ok becasue it was a delicious breakfast buffet and I could go and help myself. It is a great location, easy... Conveniently located, on a busy road so noisy 24hours a day. Great front desk service, included was a buffet breakfast. Beds were comfy and tonnes of pillows. Robes were fabulous and I still want one!! More

This hotel location was convenient for us - we had a wedding to attend in the vicinities - but it was a bit too far from downtown (some 20-25 minute drive). Service was OK, pricing was decent, rooms were spacious and clean, but all in all the hotel is a bit tired and run down (wallpapers, carpets and so on).... More

I stayed at this hotel in early February while on a business trip. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 10 years however this is my first review. This hotel holds no surprises for me. It is clean and quiet and convenient for me. The room in which I stayed was facing the parking lot and... More

I gotta start by saying one of the main reasons i booked this hotel was because of all the others reviews it had on Trip Advisor. I was kind of surprised when i got to the hotel. I mean, it was not bad, but it was just OK. I should have stayed in Downtown for a better hotel but went... More

A couple of stays in the past few years have been very good. This one however has been less than stellar by a long shot. In booking I had indicated "Sleep is critical. I need a quiet room please." Initially our room at the end of the hall seemed perfect. Then, at about 11:00PM the boy's hockey team from somewhere... More

The Carriage House Inn is something of a Calgary landmark. It sits a few kilometers south of downtown along McLeod Trail. The old owner, known for his fierce pride and superb customer care, passed away some time ago and the place is undergoing a well-deserved renovation. The rooms are very comfortable and everything is spanking new. Beds are luxurious. The... More
