Four of my girlfriends and I (all in our early 20's and from Ontario) were visiting Calgary for the Stampede for the first time. Our entire stay was great. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the rooms extremely clean. The front desk agent.. Dan I believe his name was.. drew out a map of all the good bars in the... more

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean although the rugs are looking a bit old and rugged in places. I really appreciated that my room had both a small refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast, provided at no cost, was simple and nutritious. The hotel was quiet (despite being on a major route in Calgary) and overall... more

I came to Calgary to attend a conference and stayed in this hotel because I was unable to book a decent hotel downtown (no more 4* were available). I was very happy about my choice. The hotel is quite close to downtown - 5 min by car or cab. It is also at the entrance to the Calgary Stampede. The... more

We stayed here for one night at the start of a two-week road trip through the mountains. I had redeemed my air miles for the stay, and I do wonder whether that impacted on the quality of service. My only two requests were 1) away from the elevator and 2) as large a room as possible, given that we had... more

After a long flight and rush hour traffic, I probably was not in the best of moods, however being put in a large, but smoking room did kind of spoil our first night in Canada. When I asked to be moved, no rooms were available and no real effort made to try and make it up in some other way.... more

Could't fault this hotel. Good for families with young children. Rooms large, well fitted out and clean. Good air-conditioning during July heatwave. Staff helpful and free breakfast good. Close to transportation for Stampede Grounds and City Centre. Indoor swimming pool and hot tub were excellent. more

My family of five stayed here on our way to Banff. It is located on the very edge of the downtown area and close to the Calgary Stampede. For the money, you can't go wrong staying here. The rooms were spacious (plenty of room for an extra cot and six suitcases) and clean. The decor was very nice and a... more

We (me, wife, 8 year old boy) stayed here just before the Stampede last year. Room was clean, comfortable, and reasonably spacious for the price. We got an upgrade to a jacuzzi suite (thank you CAA!) which was very nice. We love BW for their breakfasts - yes it's "just" toast and cereal, but that's all we usually have for... more

Clean, comfortable accomodation. The pool is usually at a comfortable temperature. Great continental breakfast which is replenished through out the morning. The only challenge was getting to it. It is not in the most accessible place on Macleod Trail if you are coming from the "wrong" direction. Restaurants are not within easy walking distance with children unless you fancy fast... more
