From the outside the hotel looks like a 1960's concrete office block that should really be demolished. Nice clean comfortable hotel, location is central with a tram system that runs outside the hotel. We found this very useful and it is free of charge for downtown visits. Calgary (after the Stampede) is not a particularly interesting city and this hotel is quite middle of the road and unexciting. It's not new, flashy or 5-star. But it is a great value for those looking for a place to stay in downtown Calgary. The rooms are clean, the service is good, the restaurant in the hotel is good and it's right downtown. So, there's really not much to complain about. more
