I had stayed here about 10 years ago for business and had a terrible experience as well as the toughest shoe leather steak I'd ever eaten at the attached Moxies, so after a decade thought I'd check it out to see if it had improved. I travel here for business. Admittedly reasonably priced hotels are hard to find in downtown... More

We arrived at the hotel but the staff did not have a record of our booking as we booked through a 3rd party website. We waited at the bar in the Moxie's while they arranged our room. The upgrade was nice and the amenities were satisfactory (hairdryer, coffee maker, mini fridge, large TV for the space), however the free wifi... More

Registration on the phone proved difficult. Quoted three different prices for the stay within 48 hours. Not able to answer questions about parking rates for downtown stays. Discrepancy between the phone and the price on arrival. Reception was brutal. The clerk gave endless grief to the point where the manager involved herself in the conversation. She tried to smooth things... More

I stayed over at this hotel on a business trip and found it pretty good. I initially drove right past it as I didn't see the sign and apparently I am not the only person to not see it. One thing that I found sub par was that their indoor parking is restricted to 6 foot clearance. I had a... More

I stayed 2 nights at the Sandman Hotel. Good location just next to the train station. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Early check in and late check out - tick. The wifi was terrible. It kept dropping in and out all the time. I won't be staying there again because of the wifi issue. Very frustrating.... More

Right from when our family of 4 arrived our experience was poor. The man on the front desk certainly did not know the meaning of guest or service. He was rude and unhelpful. The elevators are impossible to get luggage trolleys in or out as the gap is so wide the wheels get stuck. The room was shabby, carpet is... More

Stayed here for business in January 2015. Location was very central, but lots of homeless folks hanging around so didn't feel safe walking alone at night. Lobby and restaurant on main floor were fine but rooms were very shabby with very low lighting, bathroom was not clean, taps almost came off the wall when I turned on the shower. Only... More

I've read some other recent reviews for this hotel. I get it, you wanted posh and opulence, but when you're paying $120/night in the downtown area of a major city...give your head a shake! You get a clean hotel. You get a nice room with a comfy bed. The elevators work. There is hot water. There are ice machines and... More

1) submitted a pre-authorized form to have a credit card in file for arrival. I still needed a credit card when I arrived for the deposit which makes NO SENSE since we had paid for the hotel on bookings.com. Wth was the point then? Annoying especially when you want to sleep and related after long travels. Luckily the front desk... More

We flew in from England and this was our first night and time in Canada. This is a tired city hotel in need of renovation but that said the staff were helpful and the room on the 21st floor was large but with the smallest bathroom. The location was not bad and we felt we could walk everywhere that we... More
