Simpson's Num-Ti-Ja Lodge is a charming, quaint and well appointed hotel with a fantastic history. It is a dream of the Simpson family dating back to the late 1800's. You won't find a chain establishment here, rather a little piece of history and a family dream set in a stunning location near Lake Louise.

Pulled in late one evening after spotting a few bears as we commenced our travel up the Ice Field Byway. The accommodation is comfortable but a little aged. The room was very hot and did not cool much overnight even with the window open. A fan was supplied but was noisy. Views from the room were over the back of... More

Our experiences at our visit in Snowtember 2014 were so impressive, that we came back in September 2015. The restaurant is recommendable. Also nice is a hike to the waterfalls round Lake Bow. For souvenir hunters there is a little shop beside the hotel lobby.

I will have to give it 5 stars just for the amazing views! Yes, the place feels like it needs a renovation, but I don't think it would be in this price range then. We stayed here for one night which was just right. There were lovely views of Bow Lake and the mountains, and also the Bow Glacier Falls.... More

I can say, this must be one of the most beautiful places on earth to wake up to, the lake and the vistas are absolutely spectacular. We stayed at the lodge two nights and wish we could of stayed much longer. The lodge is old, very old, so if you expect shiny and new, this is not for you. Like... More

I read many trip advisor reviews before booking, so I was expecting this hotel to be overpriced and a but run down, which it is. The location is incredible, there really is nothing between Lake Louise and the lodge except trees and lakes, though it's just off the main highway. Checkin was somewhat slow because they said their debit machine... More

We stayed here for one night. Setting is fabulous- right on Bow Lake. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. No TV or phones which did not bother us. However bathroom was extremely small and it was hard time to sit and contemplate without hitting your knees against the wall. We had dinner at the hotel which was... More

We stayed at the lodge just one night. We chose it for the location, knowing From reading previous reviews that we were not to expect a 4 star hotel accommodation even if the price would justify it. We weren't disappointed: the location is terrific and the scenery breathtaking, not to mention the quiet and the stars at night. Watching the... More

We used this as an overnight stop when travelling the Icefield Parkway from Jasper to Banff. We started out from Jasper in the morning making stops at all the notable waterfalls and viewing points. We reached the Athabasca Glacier at 2pm and had a quick pic-nic and then booked our trip onto the Glacier. We couldn't get on a trip... More

A fabulous place - real character, history and lovely remote location right on bow lake. Like stepping back in time - original furniture in rooms and public area walls covered in bear skins, stuffed moose heads etc. Was lovely in the evening to have a drink in front of the fire and then dinner which was very good - particularly...
