We've been to Banff/Jasper/Lake Louise 8 of the last 12 years. We're trail hikers and climbers...up is good. These cabins are located closer to Lake Louise trails, like The Tea Houses and Fairview Summit, and closer to the Yoho Park trails, like IceLine, than to Banff. So if Banff is your primary objective, look farther south and east. We've stayed... More

For our honeymoon we spent 6 weeks driving through USA and Canada. This was the most relaxing part of our whole trip. This is what a real honeymoon is about. Peace and quiet with no modern distractions. If you want to enjoy family time and get back to nature and forget about every day stresses, this is the place to... More

My family and I attended a reunion this year and stayed at Baker Creek Chalets, a short drive from Lake Louise, within Banff National Park. We couldn't have picked a nicer place I'm sure. The log cabin we stayed in (#9) had two bedrooms with comfortable queen and single beds, as well as a pull-out bed in the living room... More

My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the lodge. We especially liked the ladder access to the two single beds. On our first night there, we had a little intruder which had entered through the sliding door. We got very worried and panicked, until we managed to turn on the lights. A raccoon-like creature (which we later... More

The cabins and lodge look brand new. They were perfectly clean and maintained. Each unit has a kitchen and the cabins are large enough for a small family. They include a wood burning fireplace. We chose the lodge as we could see the river better. Our room was huge for the two of us. We absolutely loved it. The staff... More

This little "village" is that just-right space of getting far away and yet not roughing it. It is on what ~used to be~ the main north-south road from Banff to the Lake Louise area. Now the "interstate" type road handles nearly all the traffic, while the older byway has almost no traffic. Result: much more wildlife (saw bears and longhorn... More

Nice little gem in the heart of the lake louise area. No cell reception is coolest part. Cabins/suites are beautiful. Nice and wooden. Quite scenic area yet very close to Lake Louise & Banff, with lots of activities to do such as cross country and downhill skiing, hiking, sight seeing, etc.. The best part is we brought a portable bbq... More

Spent four nights at Baker Creek - family of four from ON on a spring break ski trip. Simply perfect. Stayed in one of the two bedroom (one queen + two twins) cabins facing the woods. Just the right size - cozy yet enough room to have mom and dad enjoy a quiet glass of wine in the living/dining area... More

Found on trip advisor and will be coming back. By far the best experience I could of asked for. Absolutely beautiful and great service. Defiantly would recommend. My wife and I didn't want to leave. The trappers cabin is great for couples. Jacuzzi right by fireplace and privacy like we have never experienced before. But service is still at its... More

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Baker Creek this weekend and we very pleasantly surprised. We were looking for a quiet get-away from Calgary, that was unique, independently owned, and embracing sustainability practices. We were really impressed! The restaurant is great too! We'll be back Baker Creek.... More
