Stayed in a private double room low season rate for C$93 which is expensive for what you get. The room was small and very basic, barely enough room to open your suitcase or backpacks. The mattress and pillows fairly ordinary. Why do property mangement fill rooms next to one another when half the place is empty ? We had noisy... more

We stayed at the hostel in Lake Louise for 4 nights while skiing in Canada. We had a private double room (shared bathroom), which was not cheap (about $110 per night). The room was very basic and functional. Nowhere to unpack our stuff so we had to live out of our case. I know its a hostel and we weren't... more

A friend and I stayed at the Lake Louise hostel for two nights in February 2008. We paid $100 CAD for a twin room with a shared bathroom. Terrible value. When we checked in, one of the other guests overheard the room number being assigned to us, and told us to make sure we were quiet as we were right... more

HI Lake Louise is a pleasure to arrive in. It looks like a log cabin outside and feels that way inside too. The common room is a large loft with comfy couches, a pool table and tables near outlets for laptop users--free wireless is included. The room we got was a private dorm for 3 people, and it was amazing!... more

Upon arrival the staff were not prepared for us. Rooms were jumbled up with half our group finding their allocated rooms occupied, electronic keys didn’t work (ongoing issue) and it was 12 midnight. This large group booking (nearly 20) had been planned and confirmed for several months. We had 60 year olds expected to climb high loft ladders to get... more

I was very worried about staying in a hostel but everywhere else in Lake Louise was just too expensive. Check in was quick and hassle free and our room was fine. Small and bare but clean and comfortable. My son had a double bed on a balcony reached by a steep ladder, giving him privacy and his own space. I... more

We stayed here with friends for a week at the snow and it was fantastic - very clean, good value, friendly and helpful staff. All amenities were clean and the hostel is in great condition considering one of my friends had stayed there over 10 years ago. Best thing was the free bus to Lake Lousie from just across the... more

Lake Louise is a small town so walking to the village for food supplies is easy. The kitchen works well, the softdrink vending machine is good value and the wireless internet works best upstairs in the lounge area. more

We travelled to the Rockies on June 18th with our two kids ages 10 and 12. We decided we were going to try staying at a hostel for fun. Usually when we travel we tend to stay at Best Westerns, Holiday Inns and the Marriot Hotels. This was our first time staying at a hostel. We were somewhat skeptical, however,... more
