We stayed here for only one night for exploring the Banff nationalpark. The HI Lake Lousie is in best location for doing so. Located in great and pure nature you have the endless forest around you. The rooms are clean and big enough for spending a few nights. The stuff was very friendly and helped us to pick a great... More

The Hostel is more like a Hotel, the rooms are brighter than usual (you can Actually stand in there), each room includes a own bathroom and the showers are in seperate rooms too. Very clean and has a great athmosphere! Only disadvantage is the railway right next to the Hostel.

We arrived at around 7pm on Sunday night after a long flight, bus ride and minus our luggage, so were a tad grumpy; the check in staff were brilliant! They checked us in swiftly and our friends (also staying there) showed us to our room. The room was adequate it was clean tidy and had plenty of room for our... More

We enjoyed our stay in the hostel. The room was small but neat and clean. We were spending little time in our room anyway. The common spaces are very open and beautiful lodge style, much nicer than your average hostel. Sauna was a nice treat after a day of hiking. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that we... More

Four of us checked into a dormitory for one night, which consisted of two bunks. There was a loo and basin in the room and three shower rooms opposite. It was very functional, with very comfortable beds and lovely public areas. I highly recommend it to passing travellers.

We spend our first two nights in the Rockies at this hostel and loved every minute of it. The area is spectacular and the hostel is extremely well equipped. We had a private double which was small and clean and shared a toilet with only one other room - and had ample shower facilities just across the hall. Overall a... More

My husband and I stayed here in a private double room for just one night (luckily). Hostel was clean friendly and well equipped but our bed (double on the bottom of a bunk as you often get) was very uncomfortable. It felt like it was on a tilt and you spent the whole night trying not to roll out. We... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights on two separate occasions during our time dptravelling up and down the Icefields Parkway and it was always a good experience throughout. We have a small baby so things are always a bit more challenging staying at hostels but here the atmosphere was friendly and helpful, both guest and staff and the bathrooms... More

We stayed at HI-Lake Louise Alpine Centre Hostel for 3 nights and we enjoyed the place. It's clean and very nice with all . Lots of space everywhere, a fully equipped kitchen and all necessary services. I give my best recommendation.

Nice and cosy hostel a few mins walk from the town. Very clean rooms and bathrooms, comfy beds NAND lovely common area upstairs. Restaurant on site. Poor wifi is my only negative comment - the 4 computers available were all 'out of order' too. No bfast included
