We stayed at the Chateau Lake Louise for a week in January. The shuttle service, ski concierge and rental program was fantastic. Very peaceful hotel and very convenient to the Lake Louise downhill ski slopes. Highly recommend it. more

First of all, we got a 60% off deal in the shoulder season and in the current economic climate. Together with what you would expect from the photos and fairmont, my experience has been very good - nice scenery (would have been better if the ice on the lake has melted), friendly staff, quiet setting (it's weekday for me), relaxing... more

Drive up the windy road and come upon Chateau Lake Louise and wow, it’s impressive. But the real wow factor is the lake and the glacier at the head of the lake. The hotel is huge and the staff bends over backwards to provide the service you expect. There are seven restaurants including a deli style one. They are not... more

We stayed for 1 night to splurge and experience Lake Louise. Even with the Lake frozen it is a beautiful sight to see but I cannot see what you are paying for apart from the view. I was disappointed that the curtains in the room did not even cover the window completely and let in a lot of light which... more

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Lake Louise and thoroughly enjoyed it. We spend the extra money required to stay on the Gold floor where the service was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the lounge where we could sit and play scrabble or read or simply look and the marvelous paintings. (If I remember correctly, some were painted a... more

We stayed for 2 nights on our honeymoon and were upgraded to a suite when we checked in. The suite was beautiful and exceptionally well appointed although it only had a view of the car park. I think if you stay here it is worth investing in a room with a view of the Lake as it is truly breathtaking... more

A charming hotel, loved the huge christmas tree in the lobby, the rooms are quite small than some similar hotels but read about its history and the CPR. Breathtaking views over the lake, a definate must even if its only for a night. The staff couldnt do enough for you and hotel was spotless. more

If you read the Lonely Planet it will describe this hotel as a monstrosity that spoils the area, but really they were probably just jealous they hadn't stayed there!!! This place is gorgeous and booking a lake view room is a must. My husband and I booked 2 nights for part of our honeymoon and we wished we had booked... more

What a fabulous place. It's magical there. No words can really describe it until you get there and see for yourself. Absolutely beautiful. We even brought our cat as pets are allowed. The bathrooms are gorgeous. The scenery from the windows is breathtaking. Loved the all night food shop with lots of variety (vegetarian). Would recommend for couples, families, anyone... more

We stayed at the Fairmont Chateau with family for 4 nights in March 2009. I should preface this review with the confession that our room was paid for by a very generous family member, which may influence our critique! We arrived quite late after the l-o-n-g bus ride from Calgary (definitely worth looking into transfers other than Brewsters as it... more
