If you like the outdoors, like to hike and don't mind being without hot water or wifi for a couple of days, this is the place to go. We went there last week for 3 days (although I would extend it to a 4 day trip next time) and loved everything about it. The food and service were excellent. The... More

To echo just about everyone on here, Skoki lodge is an incredible place (at least in snowy winter when we visited). The ski in and overnight stay was definitely the highlight of our 9-day trip to the area and our biggest regret was only having one night there (due to our last minute booking). The lodge itself is cozy and... More

The Skoki Lodge is a bit more rustic than Shadow Lake Lodge but we found the food just a bit better here (quite a compliment since food at both places was excellent) and the Service even better (again, very, very good at both places). The hike in is beautiful and the hike out (going back via the east side of... More

We've been meaning to ski or hike to this lodge for years but always put it off. My husband requested this for his 65th birthday. We did not expect 'gourmet-type' food in the wild. We got it plus excellent service and atmosphere. Previous reviews have commented on the scenery - it is all true. It's a must do and expect... More

Great hiking, great food, great ambiance, but the real treasure was getting to know the people who work there, and listen to their stories. i can't wait to go back. Here's a tip: carry less; they have everything you need. But bring ear plugs; it can be noisy at night.

You have to hike for 6 miles (11k) to get to Skoki which guarantees you will get away from the majority of the pack. We hiked in during the unseasonable snow fall in early September which was a surprise but great fun once we got used to the idea. Breaking the trail through several inches of snow was exciting and... We visited Skoki Lodge in mid-August and had a fantastic time. When planning the trip, we were a little worried about the hike in, given we were traveling with our kids (ages 9 and 13). We are all in good shape, but we are not experienced hikers, and don't do a lot of hiking on a regular basis as a... More

When one signs on to visit Skoki Lodge, one commits to a 3-5 hour hike over decent through occasionally challenging terrain with exquisite views and depending on the altitude and time of day, the opportunity to get munched by mosquitos and horse flies. The lodge itself attracts a unique demographic; people who are in good enough shape to take an... More

We skied into Skoki Lodge in January and absolutely loved it. The ski tour to the hut is a lot of fun. It follows a good trail starting in the Lake Louise ski resort and takes you out into the remote back country where you get spectacular views of the beautiful scenery. During the tour you really get the feeling... More

I was lucky enough to ski into Skoki Lodge in March of this year. It was amazing! I felt invigorated by the fresh air and brilliant scenery of the Rocky mountains! it was a lot of exercise, about 5 hours to get there on touring skis. Once you arrive you are greeted with such warm hospitality in true Alberta fashion.... More
