We picked Moraine Lake Lodge for the last 2 nights of our Canadian Rockies anniversary trip. We'd seen most all the sites (save for Moraine Lake) and wanted a romantic, intimate location to wind down and prepare for our departure from this lovely part of the world. As we were celebrating our anniversary, we were upgraded one category of room... More

We stayed in the lodge and had a great view of the lake. I was sorry that we were only staying one night. The meal we had in the restaurant was excellent.

We decided to try Moraine Lake Lodge for a second time and I humbly say we were very very pleased. After this stay, I have to conclude that our first trip to this hotel was just an "off day" and not the experience one should expect at this hotel. We stayed in a cabin (#18) and I would highly recommend... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moraine Lake Lodge. It is small and quiet, especially compared to the massed hordes at Lake Louise. Our little cabin overlooking the lake was very well-appointed, and the whole place is done in a simple and beatiful style. The staff are absolutely lovely, and helped us to get tickets for the stampede, print out... More

I stayed here with my wife and two kids, aged 3 and 4 for one night. $530 for one night plus $50 each for the kid and $140 for a dinner for two -- the total came close to $900. That was close to 3 nights stay at Fairmont Springs (Fairmont has third night free policy). I felt this was... More

My family was lucky enough to stay two nights in two of the cabins. The views from Moraine lake are beyond amazing and the color of the lake is beautiful. The staff was so warm and welcoming always willing to help in any way possible. We did have a some issues with the heat not working in cabin two both... More

This was the best place we stayed on our trip. It was romantic and we wished we had stayed more than 1 night. The complementary afternoon tea was just what we needed after a long day of hiking. The view from the balcony, after all the crowds had gone, was brilliant. It is a must do.

Morain Lake is absolutely beautiful, although we were surprised that the lake was still 75% frozen over in mid-June. The view from the cabin was spectacular, but the cabin was impractically small. It was well decorated, and the bathroom was a good size, but the main space had just enough room to walk around the bed (except in the corner... More

Not only is this lodge situated in one of the most beautiful spots in this world, the decor of the rooms, the more than exquisite food (expensive...so be prepared), the happy, well-informed and fun staff, to the anything-we-can-do-to-make-your-stay-better front desk and management makes Moraine Lake Lodge truly a perfect vacation. No TV, no phone! Yes! But, Wifi, just in case... More

We took advantage of the special promoted on the Cathedral Mountain site and stayed two nights each at Cathedral Mountain and Lake Moraine. Wow! It's a great deal and we highly recommend both locations. Lake Moraine is more spectacular and has more activities. Cathedral Mountain cabins are more isolated. But there is great hiking both places and we LOVED both!
