We only had two nights here interrupting our journey between Banff and Jasper, but wish we'd had more. The scenery is fantastic and after the snowfall simply breathtaking. Lake itself typically has that blue/green look to it in common with other glacier fed lakes. The hotel is welcoming and the staff very helpful - we'd say the welcome was very... More

We so much prefer these small, intimate lodges to big, impersonal places so we chose Moraine Lake Lodge over the nearby Chateaux Lake Louise (even though the prices are similar) & we are so glad we did. The setting at the end of the road to the stunning Moraine Lake is just jaw dropping & it is great to be... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our cozy cabin on Moraine Lake last week. We stayed in cabin 18, the first cabin next to the main lodge for 4 nights. The view was indescribable: Sapphire blue Moraine Lake, Fay Glacier, colorful canoes and majestic glacier carved mountains. To awaken to this view, a little different each day due to changing weather conditions, is... More

Superb setting - the hotel is right on the edge of beautiful Moraine Lake- we had a balcony room in the hotel, with a view over the lake, which was perfect. Accommodation is expensive, but the hotel is lovely, and the only option if you wish to stay at the lake itself. There is only one restaurant for evening meals,... More

We had a room in the main house which had a stunning view and a balcony to sit and admire it. Bed was comfy and bathroom good size. The restaurant is first class and there is free tea and biscuits in the library by the crackling fire. I would like to try a cabin next time as they have real... More

Just a wonderful setting that's hard to get over when you first arrive. We stayed in a cabin with a view of the lake to die for (no 14).....sublime! A log fire, comfy bed, amazing view and peace and quiet once the day trippers are gone. Free wifi, canoeing, complementary bottle of good red wine, very friendly staff and nature... More

We stayed at Moraine Lake Lodge with friends from overseas in Sept. Our rooms both had fantastic views of the Lake Moraine, a color so brilliant, you wouldn't believe it unless you see it in person. The duvets on the beds were so comfortable and kept us very warm at night. Our dinner was in the main dining room, the... More

A huge review for this lodge, but I felt it was important to give the details to keep it balanced, especially given the cost of the rooms. We stayed here for 4 nights recently after arriving from their sister hotel Cathedral Mountain Lodge in Yoho. We had lodge 11, a king cabin with a lovely balcony and a lovely view... More

Stayed at both Lake Louise and Lake Moraine in early August. While Louise is majestic and a perfect setting. The crowds are annoying. Lake Moraine provides a more intimate setting because you are so much closer to the mountains. The crowds die down early and the surroundings are more peaceful and connected to nature. Highly recommended if you are more... More

Before you sign up do your research, you are sans phone , fridge, media except wi fi, rustic style cabins, BUT that's where the negatives end. We (two adults two toddlers s) stayed in cabin 17' This is a wonderfully charming place, the lake is just stunningly beautiful and from a canoe in the middle of the blue pool like... More
