My sister and I stayed two nights at the Post Hotel at the end of a two-week hiking vacation. Considering that there is virtually no "village" of Lake Louise and that the Chateau Lake Louise seems to be hyped as the only luxury destination in town, we were very pleasantly surprised at the ambiance and high quality of services at... This hotel is in the town of Lake Louise, which is about 5 miles from the famous scenic Lake Louise. In general, all of the business establishments in Lake Louise are unusually expensive. Banff is about a 45 minute drive south of here and there is much more competition and you can get a better hotel at 1/2 the cost.... More

This is nice place, it is walking distance to downtown Lake Louise. It is only a few miles to Lake Louise. The beauty of Banff national park is breath taking. The hotel has a wonderful pool and whirlpool.

My husband and I stayed here for five nights and enjoyed every second. It is true that one side of hotel faces railroad which might bother some folks. We did not notice the trains too much. Certainly, the other side of hotel faces river and would be quieter and more picturesque. Facility is well maintained, employees are polite and helpful,... More

We stayed here for 2 nights of an 8-night vacation in the area, and this was our favorite hotel. At first we were a little disappointed in the room because its decor looked kind of dated --the bedding looked like it was from the 70s or 80s!. But we were won over by the great service, nice touches, and beautiful... More

Let me start by saying vie had better service at mcdonalds and left fuller. I had the cod and their most expensive soup. The soup had oysters or muscles on top in shell and a liquid base. It was extremeLy salty. Just basically a colorful liquid broth. I've eaten at most of the five star restaurants where I live and... More

I booked the hotel after seeing all the glowing reviews on TA. We were very disappointed and this was not worth the price at all. The room was dated except the bathroom which was nice. Front desk staff were okay. Since the main restaurant appeared extremely pricey, we had dinner at the Outpost pub - the food was terrible and... More

We were really looking forward to staying here after reading previous reviews however we were left not feeling as good as we had hoped and not feeling value for money. The room didn't have air con or a screen on the patio door so it was difficult to get cool, the hotel did bring a fan though. There was also... More

My husband and I stayed at the Post Hotel in August of 1992 and we always wanted to return (even though it snowed back then, for which we were quite unprepared). We finally returned with our teenage children in August 2010 (ages 13 and 16) and we were not disappointed. On our first visit, we were initially disappointed with the... More

This was the second summer in a row that we chose to use the Post Hotel as our base for hiking and biking in the Canadian Rockies (our all time favorite national park in North America). We traveled with our two children, aged 9 and 11. Hotel highlights- clean comfortable beds, professional and highly responsive staff. pretty good dining (but... More
