our family initially felt excited to learn that a room was available for the family day long weekend. it was very expensive but we were told that the room was much like a "presidential suite" with a "preferred" view and that we would not be disappointed. needless to say, we had high expectations for the service and the room. upon... more

We had heard good things about the hotel from friends but were very disappointed. Our room was one of the smallest I have stayed in, the bathroom smaller (two of you could not be in it at the same time). The décor is very dated (flowery chitz), the staff are mainly Swiss and lack the charm and friendliness of the... more

Finally a chance to say a few words about our magnificent trip to the Canadian Rockies. Awesome beauty - incredible hikes- thankful that we had purchased walking sticks!!! Incredibly delightful to return to the luxury of the Post Hotel where every possible attention to detail was addresed. Staff was attentive without being obsequious. Dinners were excellent. Must indulge and stay... more

My wife, 11 year old son and I enjoyed a five night stay at the Post Hotel in July, 2008. I recommend the hotel to other discerning travelers. We stayed in a “F” suite. It had a living room with a sofa, two easy chairs, a desk with chair, a twin bed and a small wet bar area with refrigerator,... more

Hotel lives up to its reputation as an upscale lodge type property. Great service and quality accomodations. Rooms face front or back. Front rooms face the parking lot (some also with mountain view). All rooms facing the rear are very quiet and have a magnificent view of the river, mountains, and grassy area. Higher rooms have a bit better view.... more

The Post Hotel located in the Canadian Rockies is a magnificent place for anyone! The views are breathtaking from any side of the hotel. We stayed for 5 days for a friend's wedding that was held at the hotel. We stayed in a plan F suite facing the steam and backside of the property with incredible views of the ice... more

This was our second time to Lake Louise and we made a mistake by staying at the Chateau the first time. This is clearly better. With newer and larger suites, the dining room is absolutly outstanding! (although the restaurants are still amazing at the Chateau) even closer to the ski hill and the service cannot be beat! The spa is... more

We stayed 4 nights in a standard "preferred side" room that we found to be well maintained and tastefully decorated. Duvet covers were not old, but of muted, understated floral design, not as described in the review below. The hotel had a definite Swiss flavor, not unexpected as the owners are 2 Swiss brothers. Service tended to be "European Reserved"... more

My husband and I stayed at Post Hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had the cozy Whitehorn Cabin by the PIpestone RIver. While the Cabin was small, it was well appointed with robes and slippers, a fireplace, and nice toiletries. The turn-down service included chocolates and spring water bottles placed on the night table (a very nice touch,... more

We had been looking forward to staying here and were very disappointed. We also thought it was poor value (we paid Can $376 including taxes) for the most basic room. The room was rather cramped with old-fashioned decor, faded floral duvet covers and pillow cases, stained valance and a very clunky old TV. While the bathroom was very nice -... more
