After touring 2 weeks in West Canada, we spent the last 2 nights at the Post Hotel in Lake Louise before traveling back home. We actually liked all the hotels and B&B's during our stay, however, this one stood out in quite many ways. First of all, it was very good value for the money. The food was great (both... more

Stayed 3 nights. Good location for Lakes Louise/Moraine & for touring the Icefield Highway or Banff. So very good for Rockies tourists. Hotel pretty & seemed relatively small, but with large dining room. Room fine but a long way from reception considering the hotel was very quiet. Argument about dining reservation time, despite few diners. Food was average for very... more

As the title says this was our favourite hotel on the trip despite staying at a couple of Fairmonts at other locations. The staff are really friendly, the rooms are very nice and the setting by the river is gorgeous. The bar and the pool area are also very good. The hotel also has very nice little touches such as... more

This was our splurge hotel on our trip to Banff, & Jasper. We got some discount by booking on internet. The room was generous with an over-stuffed chair and loveseat and a wood-burning fireplace that was cleaned and rebuilt each day. Free wi-fi, apples, daily water and chocolate are perks. The spa was my high point, my husband loved the... more

Great place to visit. We went for the bargain rooms with 2 single beds and paid about $195 CAD per night. I think the double beds were another hundred. The parking was free. The budget rooms are right near the spa so that was good. Water and lindt chocoaltes at turn down. A 2 minute walk to village across the... more

The only reason you stop at this town is for Lake Louise. Albeit the actual main attraction not as serene as one imagines (there are a LOT of tourists), this hotel has a nice location next to a river and a very short walk to the village shops (across the bridge). Quaint room with a balcony, but your room mates... more

the post hotel in lake louise has a deserved reputation as beautifully located. unfortunately, the hotel has not taken advantage of the location. i understand that the hotel was built decades ago and esthetics may have been different then ,but it still seems awkwardly done. room choices are limited. overlooking the parking lot or "overlooking the river." but you will... more

hotel reception fine. room a bit "dim" and very simple apart from the "jacuzzi". Railway next to the hotel and noisy. Not possible to book chosen "dinner" time. It had to be 6h30 or 9h30 restaurant" a ripp off" and small portions. My lamb was very salty;probably a mistake in the kitchen and I had to send it back. 30 minutes... more

We stayed at the Post Hotel for a single night in Aug 2009 while heading south from Jasper to Calgary. This hotel is truly a great hotel and I'd like to stay here again, however, one should find out a couple of things beforehand: - How long will you be staying? - What services/amenities will you be using? - What... more
