Positives: the best restaurant I've ever been to, genuinely. 29,000 bottle wine list and every single dish was amazing (and we tried most of the menu). It's all predictably expensive but if you're going to splurge anywhere, splurge on eating here. Rooms very nice, nothing special for the price. Everything here is very expensive.

We booked a room through Hotwire, which means we should have gotten the best possible price. It is the most expensive hotel room we have ever rented, and we have been traveling through North America for ten years. We got a very average, small room, with no air conditioning or coffee maker, although coffee is available in the hallway beside... More

We splurged and stayed at Post Hotel & Spa on the last night of our honeymoon. It was a dream! The room was beautiful and comfortable. The bathroom was awesome! Luxurious bathtub, spacious shower. Our balcony overlooked the parking lot, but it really didn't matter b/c beyond the parking lot you have spectacular panoramic views! Be sure to explore the... More

This property is a study in contrasts. On the premium creek side of the hotel, the views are lovely and there is a wide variety of room configurations including beautiful cabins if you're inclined to spend the $. We opted for the budget side of the hotel, and for a mere $375 slept in a relatively pretty but small room... More

We chose hotel based on trip advisor recommendation. Had the best feeling of any hotel I've stayed at on our three week travels. Decorated with pine and has a rustic feel, but everything is first class. Clean and neat. Beautifully maintained, friendly, welcoming staff. We are definitely coming back for a long stay. This will be my getaway place. Smells... More

Let me first start with sleep quality = poor. There is no AC. I get that, particularly in a region where it is not needed by a few months out of the year. But your alternative is to open the windows and screen door and have the Trans-Canadian rail-line about 500ft from your room. Loud trains. All night. Yes, the... More

Great hotel. At first the manager was rude. After he understood his mistake the staff took care of us in a wonderful way. There is a river flows within the hotel area. Room very good well equipped. We really recommend the hotel. Lake Louise itself a great disappointment.

My wife and I have been staying at the Post Hotel for many years in both summer and winter and we always come back years after years. The rooms are well appointed and the service top notch. The restaurant is indeed fine dining for dinner, hence a bit pricey but the food is absolutely superb. The Schwarz brothers (owners) are... More

We spent a few nights here because the reviews made us expect an outstanding hotel. We were disappointed. Nothing was seriously wrong (otherwise the rating would be lower), but it just did not live up to expectations we had for its price point, rating, and membership in the Relais & Chateaux. Location-wise, there is nothing remarkable about this spot. For... More

We stayed for 1 night in july as part of a bigger trip from calgary to vancouver. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The room was small and boiling hot and as a previous reviewer said opening a window wasnt a great idea as it would make the noise of the train even louder. I understand the... More
