After reading some of the latest reviews, I was a bit worried. However we had a very pleasant stay. We were there just one night, 2 adults and 2 kids, and everything was very nice. Expensive, for sure, but that's the case everywhere in the Canadian Rockies. We booked a double room, facing the parking lot. We heard the train... More

I will explain the "almost" description first in case you have issues similar to ours. 1. The hotel has no air conditioning in the guest rooms or public spaces (except the exercise room). 2. Many rooms have fireplaces and the hotel keeps a fire going in the lounge 24/7. The cabins in front of the preferred side all have fireplaces... More

Wasn't impressed with the "View" in our view room --we looked at the entrance to a unit that really had a river view, but loved everything else about the hotel. Excellent, attentive, friendly service. A Banff local told me that the restaurant was excellent, and he was right. It seemed expensive at first, but as we dined elsewhere and spent... More

We stayed at this lovely hotel as part of our Canadian Rockies hiking tour. When I checked in I couldn't help but notice the large, beautiful floral arrangements and large, beautiful carpets throughout the lobby. I took advantage of complementary tea and refreshed myself in the spacious Jacuzzi in my bathroom. The restaurant featured an extensive number of perfectly prepared... More

This is a beautiful place write over a lIttle bridge behind the small shopping centre with a gorgeous stream running past the back yard, we had a ground floor room on the corner with the lawn and running stream directly outside, gorgeous bed, and beautiful big bathroom with enormous spa bath, very helpful staff, great spa where we had a... This is a very nice hotel. Butlers were there to help us with our luggage when we arrived. Nice, old, rustic hotel. We had a balcony room right next to the creek. Love it! The service was exceptional. Very big wine cellar!! Nice big, spacious room and comfy beds. I would definitely stay here again.

We chose this hotel for our 20th anniversary trip and were very satisfied! The grounds, facilities and service were impeccable. We stayed in the Whitehorn Cabin - it is very petite but sitting riverside was delightful. Our restaurant review is separate but it is incredible! Our only complaint is that we had no idea there was a Pub on the... More

I was initially bummed that I couldn't book a room at the Fairmont until I saw all the tourist buses there. Thank God I chose the Post instead. If you want a really relaxed, totally personal lodging experience, there is nothing else close to the Post. The nicest staff of any hotel I’ve ever been in, and I’ve travelled most... More

So we end up at the Post Hotel, in beautiful Lake Louise Alberta. (32 motorcycles remember?) There was designated parking for all our bikes, with security.... Scenery is breathtaking, as you're starting into the foothills of the rockies. Hotel was quiet, and close to some amenities. Each floor has a coffee station that you can snag fresh coffee anytime during... More

Set on the Bow River with spectacular mountain views and a short walk to the village, this hotel is wonderful. Service is high-touch and friendly, rooms are very clean and comfortable (with wood-burning fireplace), public areas tasteful (and Swiss), and the gym and indoor pool are excellent (we didn't get to the spa). The food is an absolute highlight, with... More
