This is a lovely comfortable hotel well placed for exploring the Icefield Parkway. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient. We only ate in the Restaurant once but that was a very enjoyable experience. If you saty on the railway sideyou have lovely mountain views and we did not find the trans disturbing at all. Our corner suite was... More

This is the second time I've stayed at the Post Hotel and I just love it there. They give guests a feeling of coming home. I plan to return again next summer. One issue we had was we wanted to eat at the restaurant but weren't aware of the dress code. This was fine because I thought it was rather... More

Cozy and comfy in an "N suite" with my two kids and husband. Thoughtful touches abound- a free DVD library, chocolates on the pillows, tea time inn the lobby, fireplace layered with shredded paper, kindling and wood. Great location with a picturesque two minute walk to Lake Louise village for groceries and gifts. Downsides are sluggish wifi, small pool, dowdy... More

This is a lovely hotel at Lake Louise village brilliantly located for the local facilities. You can eat in or walk to The Station in 10 minutes. The staff were generally friendly, chatty and couldn't have been more helpful. It was good to be just a walk from a bike hire shop. The only negative is that the lack of... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Post in a little cabin right on the river. This was an anniversary trip so we splurged and it was worth it! The cabins have a comfy bed, club chairs and a fireplace as well as two adirondack chairs outside to enjoy sitting out by the river. It was cozy and comfy and... More

We arrived early and were lucky enough to have our room ready. After reading reviews on this site I booked the preferred side. I was extremely happy I did as we had a nice creek and gardens outside our balcony. The non preferred side looks out at the parking lot and can have a lot of noise from the train.... More

I would highly recommend the Post Hotel in Lake Louise. We would have chosen the Fairmont but Canadian friends recommended the Post. The hotel built in the 1940's is still log cabin and new additions fit right in with the old. Gorgeous cabins nestled along the Pipestone River. Our room had a fireplace but it was too warm to use.... More

Our stay at this property was a wonderful experience! My husband and I stayed for just 2 nights while visiting the Lake Louise area. The hotel is very charming and warm. The decor in the room was romantic with a large stone fireplace, and upscale amenities. I can't say enough about the food at this property! The dining room dinner... More

Places to stay here are very limited and not that far from Banff. Was very warm when we were there and a fan in the room helped, but A/C would have been much better. We had the best chateaubriands we have had in ages at the restaurant. Unfortunately, due to the heat, my wife had to finish her meal in... More

We found that Lake Louise is the right location for all the best hiking in Banff. No need to enter the town of Banff itself. This hotel was perfect! Everything from the room, the dining, atmosphere, view of the mountains and sound of the river was amazing.
