We stayed for 6 nights after Christmas until 2 January. I would highly recommend this hotel. We'd previoulsy stayed at the Chateau Lake Louise about 10 years ago and I am so happy we chose the Post Hotel. Pros - 1) Small, boutique, European-feel hotel 2) Excellent service, especially staff at front desk, front door/ski bus transfer guys (Tom!) and... More

I "almost stayed at the "Chateau"... I'd never been to Lake Louise before and usually if you book the most expensive place your fairly safe... But after ready very mixed reviews on Trip Advisor I opted for a room at the Post... Soon glad I did. We visited the Chateau 2-3 times on our stay to see the property, the... More

This is a wonderful 5 Star hotel in the Rockies. Service is top notch. All staff greet you with a genuine smile and are at your service. We were here to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary and upon entering our room found a bottle of champagne chilling as well as a tray of chocolate dipped strawberries and a card signed... More

I have stayed here twice, once in a main floor room, and second time for my birthday in the second largest riverfront cabin. While there is no air conditioning, which is why I deducted a star, I was happy to concede that issue due to the quaint nature of going without it. It gave the trip a more charming aura.... More

Over the past 15 years, we have stayed at the Post when we wanted a little get-away. This year, we returned for a few days between Christmas and New Year's. Some faces may have changed behind the desk, but the rustic elegance of the hotel never changes. Andre or George ( the owners) are very "hands on" and either one... More

Denise and I were the designated baby sitters for our son and his wife's child so that they could attend their company Christmas party at this hotel. Even though our family have been to Lake Louise many times, since we live in Calgary, we had never stayed in this hotel. The campus, though old, is very well maintained and gives... More

Beautiful Hotel near Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and the gateway to the Icefields Parkway. The price is somewhat reasonable (when compared to the Moraine Lake Lodge and Fairmont Lake Louise). The inconvenience of driving to those two places is minimal. The Hotel is near "town" and is juxtaposed by a lovely river. Free use of the hotel bikes was a... More

Stayed again at the Post last month and have been doing so for the past 20 years. Rooms are superbly appointed and very comfortable. Food is excellent with very knowledgeable and attentive servers and reassuringly pricey - you get what you pay for and this is top drawer fayre. Well done Mario for being Maitre D - ask him to... If your looking for great service in an intimate setting with great food and wine, this is it.You get what you pay for. If your nice to the staff you might get lucky and get tour of the wine cellar which is mind blowing!
