I was a bit confused when I went to write a review about this hostel because the pictures look nothing like the area I stayed in. My area looked more like a normal hotel. I did notice there were other lodging areas. I ended up staying in a 4 bed dorm that had been reserved for just 1 person. The... More

I spent 4 nights in the hostel during a holiday to meet Banff. I loved the service, online and personal. Clean rooms and bathrooms, even the collective. Furthermore, the economy is the best part. I will staying at HI again but this time in Vancouver.

This hostel is in a fantastic location up in Tunnel Mountain, with other resorts and homes. It's a couple of km out of town, but an easy walk- or you can jump on the number 2 bus. The hostel is an impressive, alpine building and the and noticed spread between a couple if buildings. I stayed in the Mary ...... More

we stayed here for one night and had a whole room with washroom for our-self's, what was really nice- no plastic-bags-horror in the morning! ;) All amenities are clean and the beds where warm and cozy! the staff was very friendly and helpful, the only downside (and in this case it upset us a lot) was the fact, that for... I was a little worried before I went from the mixed reviews on here so it was quite a relief when I arrived and found it to be a great hostel. I stayed for 10 nights in a mixed dorm as it was the only bed available, Banff gets booked out in the summer so book ahead. The hostel is... More

I travelled solo via motorcycle east to west across Canada in July 2014. Through Ontario and the prairies I was paying $80 to $130 for accommodations at motels in small towns. Banff is where I decided to experience my first hostel. Much to my surprise, it was beautiful. Located on a quiet woodsy property, clean and comfy rooms, great kitchen... More

Found this to be a nice hostel, fairly clean with nice rooms and facilities. It's a little ways out of town but with the bus service that really isn't much of a problem. It's definitely good value and has a nice atmosphere.

I have stayed at this hostel every summer for the last three years, just on a weekend get away from the city. It's very cost effective, comfortable sleep and stunning scenery. They have a large kitchen but i always eat out. Cute little bar in the main building. I always get the female door with private ensuite. The shower stalls... More

We stayed there for just one night and we booked 2 beds in a 6-bed mixed doorm. The room was pretty nice with 3 bunk beds and plugs next to bed, so no problem about charging your phone/camera. There is not plenty of space in the room to leave your things but there were big lockers inside of the room... More

When we arrived to stay at this hostel it was snowing so everything looked picture perfect. We were staying in the building separate from the main reception and this was great as it made it a lot quieter and the kitchen was really clean. Our room was nice with a double bunk on the bottom of one set of bunk... More
