I stayed here for one night while being in Banff for 4 days. During my stay i noticed the rooms and bathrooms were in excellent condition and clean. The hostel is in a beautiful location with a great view. But as I stated in my title is a 15+ walk into town, probably a $5 taxi.

Ive stayed here a couple of times and would stay here again. We were a group of 5 and had one of the rooms with the upstairs bed. Rooms and comfortable and clean, the hang out areas of the hostel were cool as was the bar downstairs. It is a bit out of the town but a cheap tai ride... More

I did they job seeker package, so I stayed at this hostel for 2 weeks. It was a really great deal and can highly reccommend for people who are moving to Banff. Staff are really friendly rooms are big and clean and the facilities are great, you can use the kitchen which is big and fully equipt.

I've been staying at the hostel for over a month now with a group of over 20 people who have all paid for a months rent. When we moved in we signed a 3 strike contract which went out the window as soon as we paid the full months rent, they started to look for any reason to kick us... More

Hello James N, As you're aware, last week I arranged to meet all of your group and discuss the issues you have mentioned. At this meeting, we discussed the general concerns of your group - along with the significant safety and consideration issues that were being caused by a minority - but a sizeable minority - of the members of... I was a bit confused when I went to write a review about this hostel because the pictures look nothing like the area I stayed in. My area looked more like a normal hotel. I did notice there were other lodging areas. I ended up staying in a 4 bed dorm that had been reserved for just 1 person. The... More

I spent 4 nights in the hostel during a holiday to meet Banff. I loved the service, online and personal. Clean rooms and bathrooms, even the collective. Furthermore, the economy is the best part. I will staying at HI again but this time in Vancouver.

This hostel is in a fantastic location up in Tunnel Mountain, with other resorts and homes. It's a couple of km out of town, but an easy walk- or you can jump on the number 2 bus. The hostel is an impressive, alpine building and the and noticed spread between a couple if buildings. I stayed in the Mary ...... More

we stayed here for one night and had a whole room with washroom for our-self's, what was really nice- no plastic-bags-horror in the morning! ;) All amenities are clean and the beds where warm and cozy! the staff was very friendly and helpful, the only downside (and in this case it upset us a lot) was the fact, that for... I was a little worried before I went from the mixed reviews on here so it was quite a relief when I arrived and found it to be a great hostel. I stayed for 10 nights in a mixed dorm as it was the only bed available, Banff gets booked out in the summer so book ahead. The hostel is... More

I travelled solo via motorcycle east to west across Canada in July 2014. Through Ontario and the prairies I was paying $80 to $130 for accommodations at motels in small towns. Banff is where I decided to experience my first hostel. Much to my surprise, it was beautiful. Located on a quiet woodsy property, clean and comfy rooms, great kitchen... More
