We booked two nights here over the Easter Long Weekend. Arrived and the guy at check in was very nice. It all went downhill from there. The bathrooms were filthy, we were put in a bigger dorm then we had paid and booked for. Decided to stick it out but at around 3am on our first night, it become unbearable.... more

Having just left HI Lake Louise I was expecting great things. My reservation was a problem however, and I ended up having to pay more for my week's stay as I wanted a private room. The room was ok and it had more cupboards than HI Lake Louise and even had a fan but it was next door to the... more

We were travelling from Revelstoke to Jasper and wanted to break the ride in two and this was the perfect spot. We had a private family room that slept 5. Two downstairs and 3 upstairs. Building had a commons kitchen and 6 showers on our floor. We shared one toilet in the alcove with the family next door. We all... more

I stayed here for 1 night while on a Rockies trip with my girlfriend and some others. Location It is not directly in town, which is not so useful when it is snowing outside. You may need to catch a taxi to/from Banff. The Double Room It was minus 25 degrees outside and about 30 degrees in the bedroom. Lucky... more

Rooms are clean, kitchen is small but adequate. Overall this is a nice hostel but it has 2 problems. 1. It is home to 20-30 ski resort staff who call this place home for the winter. Although I'm sure the majority of these guests are quiet, clean and respectfully I didn't meet those people. I was in a room with... more

Great, fun hostel in Banff... the rooms were clean, the shared bathrooms were spacious and always clean and the on site bar and restaurant were great. Would definitely stay here again! more

I've stayed at the Banff International Hostel in 2003 and 2004. I couldn't get in last year to stay. Tjhis year I'm going in about 2 days, and I can't wait! Every time I stay there it's always clean and the people are friendly. The 2 kitchens they have are enormously big, and lots of room to cook your meals.... more

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. It is second only to Sydney Central YHA in my humble opinion. My girlfriend and I stayed here for six nights in July 2004 whilst touring Canada, I can honestly say it was a joyful experience. I would recommend it to any sort of traveller - just fantastic. more

What a great hostel. It may be a little way out of town (and up a pretty big hill) but there is a cheap bus and taxis are readily available. I also walked it a number of times and being a bit out of town you are often rewarded with wildlife such as deer and elk. The building itself is... more

Wicked place - pub on-site, kick-ass deals on snowboard packages, way nicer hostel than I've ever stayed at. I'm a student & ride the weekends, I stayed there 4 times this winter - ROCKS! more
