We loved our stay at this B&B and found the rate very affordable, especially considering the great breakfast included. Ourbroom had everything we needed and the dining room downstairs with tv was great. Shared bathrooms were also very nice and never full during our stay. Would recommend to other traveller's.

We recently spent 3 nights with friends at this charming Bed and Breakfast. The staff is exceptional and the breakfasts everyday were delicious. I loved the common room and the welcoming feeling in the antique filled room. Our friends stayed in the main building upstairs. I would highly recommend these rooms as opposed to my room downstairs in basement. It... More

What a find! So comfortable, great downtown location, super-friendly hosts. Best breakfasts ever. And the dinners on offer are the best deal in town! So glad we stayed here. While you're in Banff, go to the Banff Hot Springs. Then come back to the B&B nice and relaxed...

This cozy B&B in the heart of Banff is perfect to stay. I spend three nights with my girlfriend and we were overwhelmed by the warm and relaxed atmosphere. Rob, Robin and Christine have turned this historical house into a welcome B&B and even in the cold winter days we felt very at home. The rooms are nice, beds are... More

I have stayed here a couple of times and I am going to make it a regular stay each year. I have also treated my daughter and husband to an anniversary weekend there. The building is old and quaint and speaks of an older era in Banff which I like but a visitor needs to be ready for smaller rooms... More

My wife and I stayed for one night at the Rocky Mountain B&B. Robyn and Rob are very friendly, helpful hosts. The location of the B&B is very convenient on a quiet residential street close to downtown Banff and we could walk to a restaurant for dinner. The breakfast was hot and tasty and served in a dining area that... More

This is a modest B&B located on a quiet Banff street that's easily accessible to downtown. Having read in Trip Advisor that I should avoid the rooms in the basement, I took one upstairs and it was perfectly nice. The breakfast was good, if a little unusual (I believe it was burrito of some kind) and the hosts were very... More

I stayed here at the end of May/beginning of June 2012 (I had to pick December 2012 in order to submit this review), it was perfect. Very close to the main street of Banff, but still quiet. The hot breakfast was a great start to the day, and Robyn was fantastic about offering ideas of what to do for the... More

We spent 2 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Rob & Robyn were such lovely hosts, the hot breakfasts were freshly made when you arrive for breakfast between 8am-9am and were delicious (there is also a good selection of cereal/toasts available). The location is just a 5 min walk from Banff Avenue. We stayed in Room 3 which was... More

We had the attic suite as it came with a kitchen but it was ill equipped, very few utensils. The room needed updating quite badly but on the other hand the staff were really helpful and the location is great. Breakfast was good each day and they were kind enough to make breakfast for us to take up to our... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
We are an intimate high-country inn situated three blocks east of Banff Avenue on Otter Street in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The building dates from 1918 and has 10 guest rooms and a gorgeous main lounge and dining room. We are the only B and B Inn in Banff to still serve a hot breakfast! We use excellent ingredients, serve locally roasted organic coffee and vary our menu daily. This historic mountain home is warm and spacious. It was used extensively in the '30s by CPR work crews as a boarding house. For the following forty years it was known as Douglas House and served as tourist accommodation. The Inn was fully restored in the late '80s and has had recent renovations to maintain its original character and substantial mountain charm. We have four suites, which suit small families, as well as simple and elegant double rooms. Our dining room and lounge are open to guest use during the day and there is a television in the lounge. We have private off-street parking to accommodate guests with vehicles. However, once you are in Banff many activities and walks are accessible by foot from the B&B. ... more   less
