I’ve been to Banff a few times so know the high standard of hotels in the area and the Spruce Grove didn’t disappoint. No bells and whistles but good value, clean and comfortable – plus it has a pool which most of the less expensive hotels don’t have. There are better locations as it is about 15 minutes walk into... We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to seeing you in the future. There is a town bus available, which stops in front of our hotel every 40min until 11:00pm and only costs $2 per adult. More

Booked online for the Voyager Inn next door, only $71 including free parking and breakfast. Room we were assigned was located in the Spruce Grove Inn, immediately next door. Included underground parking and wifi for free. Room was on par with a Holiday Inn. Bed was ok, with a thin pillow top mattress. Wouldn't hesitate to book at Spruce Grove... More

Great location. No frills. Check in and free continental breakfast buffet at next door hotel (it's an older, dated hotel, Spruce Grove is much better!) . Free parking too. Obtained a decent rate on Priceline.com. Clean bed and bathroom. Pool available at next door hotel. Feels like a time-share. More

I stayed here one night. As I was arriving late in the evening via the Banff Airporter, I was told that the Spruce Grove Inn reception would be closed and I would have to check in at the sister Voyager Inn and walk through the connection to get to the Spruce Grove rooms. (I was told that the Spruce Grove... More

We stayed here for 5 nights during our stay in the Rockies and based our choice on the price and location of the hotel. The room was large, comfortable and clean but quite basic and there was a faint smell of stale smoke. The railway line is fairly close to the hotel and on a couple of occasions we could... More

I booked this online because of the price. Photos looked okay, but should have checked the other reviews. Very dissapointed in our stay. The front desk addressed our issue with the defective sofa bed. The toilet ran loudly every five minutes, even with the bathroom door closed. Ice machine outside our room was used often during the night by other... More

The main advantage of this hotel are its relative affordability, which can be difficult to find in Banff. The hotel provides a comfortable bed, a clean smallish room, a private balcony and good underground parking. It's connected by a tunnel to its sister hotel, the Voyager, which is where any additional amenities are located. These include a restaurant and liquor... More

We were upgraded from the Voyager Inn into this (connecting) sisterhotel. The rooms are very (!) spacious and hotel was quiet. The reception was manned limited hours (be directed to Voyager inn otherwise). The beds were not that good. The WiFi was excellent. Bathroom was clean and rather roomy and double sink and countertops. The only thing with this hotel... More

Stayed here 2 nights as part of a tour. It is one of the farthest out of the hotels in Banff- it took us about 15 minutes to walk in. There is also a bus service running by, I think about every 30 minutes. Our room was perfectly acceptable, and very quiet, despite the proximity of the ice and cold... More

The Spruce Grove Inn is now the Annex to the Voyager Inn next door. The Voyager provides the bar and restaurant. There are so many other places to eat and drink in Banff we did not use these facilities. The hotel provides good sized, clean and comfortable rooms. The reception staff were helpful. The hotel is about a 15 minute... More
