I recently stayed at this hotel in late January 2007. I booked the hotel off their website for around $100 per night, which was cheaper than most hotels in Banff at this time. Definately not the cheapest but about mid range. The hotel has underground parking (you have to get a spot early when it is busy or you will... more

I came across Trip Advisor about a month before our honeymoon, when everything had been booked about 6 months earlier! I found good and bad reports on all 5 hotels we'd booked, and ended up feeling dubious about all of them! I admit I had contacted most with casual queries and mentioned we were coming on honeymoon, so that may... more

Tough night. Positives: Nice looking exterior. Very clean. Underground parking. 1 km to the downtown section. Manager gave us a discount for our troubles. Issues: There is very little sound insulation between floors and walls. Anybody in a room to the right of the front desk will hear the very steady stream of ground shaking door slams of the side... more

I stayed at this hotel in March, 2006. There is underground parking; but if you come back to your hotel late after a night out, there will be no spots left, and you'll have to park on the street. The room was a good size and fairly clean - the alcove detail on the ceiling gives it a cozy feel.... more

Nice clean hotel; underground parking in secure garage. Two sinks and good heat and AC. We didn't spend too much time in the room, but it was clean, quiet, and we were able to find a couple of wireless internet connections (not belonging to the hotel). Our first floor room opened onto a small patio on the front. more

My girlfriend and I stayed in a Loft Suite at the Spruce Grove Inn. We were going to stay at the Banff Voyager Inn in the honeymoon suite, however when we saw it we realized that it was a bit dated. We expressed our concerns to the front desk and they had a manager take us to the Spruce Grove... more

We booked a room at the Spruce Grove Inn at 9 am on the day we wanted to arrive in Banff. We were thrilled with the good room rate. However, we had a family emergency and had to return asap to Vancouver. We called the hotel explained our situation, and were told that we would have to pay for 1... more

We stayed here in July 2004, for 2 nights on a Monday and Tuesday. The room was reasonably large, new, and nicely decorated. The underground parking was convenient especially as the walk into the main area of Banff is too far. There is an underground corridor linking to the Voyager Inn but we did not use any of their facilities... more

Recently stayed at the Spruce Grove as part of a tour group and found the facilities and rooms to be more than adequate. A 10-15 minute walk out of town- making it a pleasant and quiet part of town- I would highly recommend it to everyone. Also Bumpers was great for a steak- local steakhouse not a chain. more

We originally booked into the Voyager next door but couldn't face it's scruffy corridors and lack of air conditioning (it was 33 degrees C) so we moved to its sister hotel the Spruce Grove which was marginally better. The room was small though adequately appointed with a tiny balcony. The outdoor pool area was shared with the Voyager and was... more
