We couldn't fault our cosy chalet. The place was well equipped and clean and the jet bath was a treat. We cooked outside on the BBQ surrounded by the ground squirrels, which was a novelty for us and ate on the little veranda looking out at the lovely views. The surroundings were amazing being right on the Bow Valley Parkway... More

Clean, comfortable, spectacular location. Very hospitable staff, very helpful and friendly. Great value for Banff National Park. Take advantage of the great outdoor bbq's and firepits. Great place to stay.

I loved this place, the rooms were beautiful and were well equipped, the views spectacular! With really lovely mountains and rivers, a short drive to lake Louise/Banff. The staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful ... Even lent use some bear spray for our hikes.

We had a group of 6 Japanese family friends with us and they were really able to get a great Canadian experience at Castle Mtn. Chalets. We liked many things about the property, fire pit for s'mores, BBQ, spacious cabins and kitchen very friendly helpful staff. The furnishings are very outdated, as is the flooring and some elements on the... More

Very happy to hear your guests were able to have such a Great Canadian experience. Not all of our cabins have been fully upgraded, however the items are in good working condition. Unfortunately, I cannot identify which cabin you stayed in, but I would like to address some of your concerns. Our standard is to ensure a clean environment for... More

We had read the reviews before booking, and were a little wary of the mentioned train noise, but in the end we absolutely loved this place, and found the night time train noise quite reassuring in the end. The chalets are simply great, and we saw more wild life around the chalets than we had in two whole weeks up... More

Very happy to hear you enjoyed Castle Mountain Chalets. We are fortunate that you were able to look past the comments of the trains and give us a chance. It sounds like it was worth it in the end. The General Store is it's own little "gem". It's hard to find suppliers to come out this way, but when we... More

Pretty location. We had two small bedrooms (each with a double bed), living room, kitchen, bathroom. Gas fireplace was nice to turn on the one day it rained and we came back wet. Through the locked connecting door of our duplex cabin it was pretty easy to hear our neighbors -- their laughter kept us up only one night of... More

We appreciate you taking the time to write a review. You're correct in saying the mountains here are amazing. I may be a little biased, but I think Castle Mountain is one of my favourites in Banff National Park. Unfortunately, we do not have the option of getting better internet connection in our location, as high speed is not available.... More

We have just returned from our stay here and can't say enough good things about it! Location is perfect, between Banff and Lake Louise, our very own cabin in the woods! Accommodations were excellent, clean, comfortable.....staff are awesome, friendly and helpful...we barbequed almost every night, so nice to have that option. People have mentioned the train that comes through, however... More

We were an extended family party of 8 and so booked two duplexes, each with two bedrooms. The adjoining door inside had been unlocked so we could move easily between the two spaces. The furnishings were plain but perfectly suitable for the cabin in the woods feel of the property. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked (bbq) each... More

Thank you for your comments. We pride ourselves on being a family friendly resort, where you can come out here and enjoy the time with family in a relaxed setting. The Two Bedroom Deluxe Chalets (duplex style) are used quite a bit by families as they do offer that extra space once that adjoining door is open. A two Bedroom... More

Great views but be aware of the train crossing just outside this property. Trains run almost on the hour day and night. So be prepared to hear the loud train whistles at least once per hour. The suite was excellent. Only negative for us was being woken up by the trains passing by blowing their whistle. We stayed 2 nights.... More

It is unfortunate that our team did not ask you how your stay was, as we do want to genuinely know good or bad. Especially bad. It is the only way we can get the opportunity to correct or grow from our mistakes. The train, unfortunately, is not something we have any control over. I guess you either love it... More
