Spent two nights as a Christmas gift from our son in Toronto. Very dog friendly & comfortable cabins. Complete small kitchen with oven, full bathroom with tub, king size bed and a wood burning fireplace. Wood is free & plentiful. The setting is simply outstanding. Hikes within a 5 min. walk from units. A well supplied country type store plus... More

My cabin was so cozy and perfect, I loved it! Spent Christmas there with my family/dogs, and will be returning this year! Enjoyed wine by the fire, while roasting smores. The trains weren't that bad, didn't even really hear them. Seeing a wolf, and hearing them howl at night was a real treat! Take the back roads instead of the... More

we booked a room with these folks and our stay was amazing. The on site staff were nice. The room we booked, an apt style suite, was fantastic and had a great view of the mountains. It was clean, had cable, fully equipped kitchen and a warm fireplace. There is a train that passes through ie Canadian Pacific rail, but... More

If you're looking for a true Winter Wonderland this is the place to be. Settled in the snow covered mountains, with breath taking views everywhere you look. The sounds of the train passing through echos through the valley, and adds even more tranquility. The train is a different sound in the mountains than in the city, I personally didn't find... More

We discovered Castle Mountain Chalets whilst driving the Bow Valley Parkway on a trip in January so decided to spend a night there to check it out. We booked one of the slightly larger pine cabins and immediately regretted booking only one night as the cabin was very spacious with a modern bathroom an incredibly comfortable bed and a decent... We stayed here unexpectedly when Johnston Canyon Resort had double booked our bungalow and were very happily surprised when we were shown our appartment. The resort itself is a 10 KM drive from Johnston Canyon (Falls) and is a self-catering accommodation. There is a communal recreation room including a computer with internet access, a hot tub, BBQ area etc. The... More

We booked for five nights in the new loft apartment suites. The new suites provide a little bit of luxury- with their incredibly comfortable beds, well equipped bathrooms including jacuzzi baths, superbly equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge with sofa/bed and small balcony. The accomodation is actually superb and with the reduced end of summer/weekend rates made them incredibly good value... More

The ad for the cabins described them as Luxuriously Rustic. Rustic yes, luxurious not so much. The bath fixtures were stained, we ran hot of hot water, some kitchen utensils were not clean, the coffee pot was inadequate. However, it was the train noise that was the worst. The first night we were there it seemed that there was a... More

We stayed here for a week in one of the "Pine Cabins." After we made the reservations, I read some of the negative reviews on this site and almost cancelled... I'm so glad we didn't! Our cabin was perfect for us -- immaculately clean, comfortable & attractive bed, couch, fireplace, kitchenette, and nice bathroom with tub & shower. We had... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and we thought it was great. Its located in a seclude area which we liked no noise or heavy tourist traffic but only minutes from Banff or several other activities. The staff was very nice and helpful and they have a great little store located on the premise. Would definitely stay... More
