We had spent some time looking at many places on the web and this place just seemed to draw us there. We were specifically looking at staying in a log cabin style cottage however with some of the conveniences that a hotel may offer. We spent 3 nights in the Deluxe One Bedroom Chalet. Well, we can certainly tell you... more

I booked a delux cabin for our first anniversary and my wife absolutely adored it. It was exactly what she was looking for, a little cabin out in the woods for us to get away to. The view of Castle Mountain was great, the room was very clean (the fireplace glass broke one night and it was cleaned up without... more

As recommended in Lonely Planet Guide (Banff, Jasper & Glacier) we found everything we required for a self catering stay. Having first looked at Johnston Canyon cabins (also recommended but of a lesser and jaded quality despite the opinion in the guide) we were given a loft suite with a jacuzzi bath and full kitchen at a much better rate.... more

Just returned from 3 nights at the Castle Mt Chalets. None of the newer log cabins were available when we reserved in June; I would try to get one of these. The cabin we stayed in was suitable but needed updating. Can't see the fuss about the train . . .could hardly hear it and certainly not every hour. Quiet,... more

My girlfriend and I just returned to Edmonton from a weekend of hiking near Banff. The one bedroom deluxe chalet was easily the cleanest, most well furnished, comfortable, beautiful accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. We paid $350 a night, but worth every penny. I won’t mention the trains... because, well, it’s already been mentioned. We found their website doesn’t to... more

We had a very plaisant 3 night stay in a cedar Studio Style Chalet. The chalet was small but just fine for the two of us. It was clean and had everything we needed. The staff was polite and helpful. There is a small store on site loaded with whatever you may have forgotten or other things to pamper yourself... more

We spent 4 nights at Castle Mountain Chalets this summer, and would do it again in a heartbeat. The location was perfect - halfway between Banff and Lake Louise, and with good access to Radium Hot Springs. The setting was fantastic.. if you are going to visit a national park, you should stay in a place like this. Many of... more

We (four of us) stayed here for a total of four nights -- two different cabins on two different stays. The staff is wonderful -- warm, friendly, very helpful. This is a great central, jumping-off location for visiting both Banff and Lake Louise environs. There is a small general store for immediate needs, and you are only 25 minutes from... more

We went on a hiking get-away in the middle of June and were looking for accommodation where we could cook our own meals. After checking various Banff and Lake Louise area hotels and cabin resort websites and the reviews here at TripAdvisor, we decided on Castle Mountain Chalets. In looking over their website, I noticed a "one bedroom suite" listed... more
