We had an excellent stay here. The little store has about everything you can ever need. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect. We wanted to do a day in Banff then a day in Lake Louise this location was pretty in the middle of those locations so the drive wasn't too long. Not too fair... More

We just spent a most enjoyable four nights at Castle Mountain Chalets. We stayed in one the one bedroom deluxe cabins which proved, once again, to be a good choice! The cabins are in very good condition although some of the furniture and plumbing fixtures are looking a bit old. If we had been paying the full high season price... More

We have stayed here 3 times and I love it. I love everything about these chalets, they are clean spacious and pet friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You can hear the train pass by but I don't have a problem with that. You still feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. I have recommended these... More

Yes the train horn blows...but who can't appreciate a laugh every once in a while! We stayed in the cabin with one bedroom and jacuzzi. I was very surprised based on the price how beautiful the chalet was! It's modern and clean and has a full kitchen. Plenty of room for a couple or two! The staff at the front... More

Because the whistle of the train a couple of time during the night, you won't be able to sleep well except if you are deaf. We were there in August and we won't go back. The rooms are not very clean. They are old. Also, they collect all the money at the beginning, if you leave before, you loose your... More

Dear Guest, We thank you for your feedback, and appreciate all comments made. To address some of your concerns, I'll start with the trains. Unfortunately as we have no control over them, its hard to really say much about them. If you read through the majority of the negative feedback made about Castle Mountain Chalets, most of them have been... More

My husband and I spent a weekend at Castle Mountain Chalets and it was perfect. We went cross country skiing and snowshoeing. The chalets are romantic, charming, cozy and in a beautiful setting. Yes they are charming but a little dated with a wood burning fireplace a small kitchen and separate private washroom. We loved it! We have been to... More

As a solo traveller, getting 'Value for money' is important. I intended staying 2-3 nights only, because I was travelling around the National Park and was going to try staying in Banff. Wrong! I stayed 8 nights! I had one of the apartments. It was magnificent. A one bedroom apartment with a separate shower/bathroom, fully equipped open plan kitchen and... More

We wanted a quick weekend getaway to Banff and wanted the dogs to come. All of the hotels in Banff that were pet friendly didn't include any of the nice features that we were looking for (fireplace, big room, kitchette) in their designated pet rooms. At Castle Mountain ALL of their cabins are pet friendly! We couldn't believe it. The... More

My husband and I were married on Jan 4 2013 and found our way to Canada the next day. Many thought we were crazy for going to Canada at the beginning of winter but that's exactly what we wanted: SNOW! And boy did we get snow. We were even snowed in one full day. Castle Mtn Chalets impressed us beyond... More

Our family of 4 stayed in one of the two bedroom cabins here for 3 nights on our recent trip around the Rockies. We found it to be quite spacious and very comfortable, and very clean & tidy with all essentials provided. The setting at the base of Castle Mountain is just gorgeous, and the grounds are very pretty with... More
