It was very noisy at night The room is okay it could have been better. The service was poor. Dirty. Bathroom is very small and beds are not comfy. Blanket is very thin I recommend you don't book the hotel online just come to Banff and which ones are vacant

On the positive side, the desk and kitchen staff were very friendly and helpful. On the negative side, we stayed in room 325 at first (Feb 2) and it was obvious that nobody working at the hotel has been in that room at night because there was only one tiny table lamp with an opaque steel shade so there was... My boyfriend and I were in a private double for a couple of weeks. Great room, for a great price. However, the internet is abysmal. And the kitchen literally has 6 bowls. The fridge was full of mouldy food and there was very limited utensils. Over Christmas, we had to move to separate dorm rooms. The female dorm is cold,... More

Just don't understand, how this "lodge" has excellent reviews??? I guess, I have to agree with Judge Judy: "I know how you get this reviews, from all your family members and good friends". Anyway, we booked for two nights, left after first one, sorry but we could not stay another night there. The lodge looks like a hospital, the same... More

Location – this is why I picked this hotel. Checkin- Incredibly fast. Parking - outside. Room – clean and the smallest I’ve ever stayed in. Booked originally for two guests. Got 2 bath towels and one face towel. No TV, no coffee maker. Bathroom was clean but shower was VERY small, good luck if you are plus size. Got choice... More

Stayed here for two nights. The first night we had our own private room with ensuite upstairs. The room was comfortable and having been camping for a week, the shower was great. After the first night we got moved to an old hospital room. Was kooky and cool, but we had to scuttle across the hall for a shower which... More

We weren't so thrilled with our stay at the Y. We chose the hotel primarily for the proximity to my sister's place as we were attending a barbecue that night and wanted the convenience of being able to walk home from her house. The Y was more shabby than shabby chic. For $150, the room was bare bones and, the... More

Myself and my partner stayed in a double room with private bathroom. I was expecting to have to share a bathroom, so was delighted when we found we had our own! I think we were on the top floor (3 maybe?) and had no problems with noise. The room was fine, clean and basic. All we needed it for was... More

We stayed the hotel section on the 4th floor, in a double bed room with shared bathroom. The only things I really liked about this hotel were the location, it's close to everything and only a 5min walk from the main shopping strip. And the price is a lot cheaper than the other hotels in Banff, however you are defiantly... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and our stay was fine but loud. The y attracts a clientale of partiers and we were there to hike and enjoy the park and it was hard to get a good night rest due to noise. There are signs posted saying no alcohol in the fridges but there was plenty of alcohol there... More
