The room was clean and perfectly ok as a place to sleep, and considering it was the middle of the summer and the town was almost full the price was decent. However for over $150 a night for a private room I was a bit disappointed that there was no TV, no Coffee Maker, No Hair dryer, not even a... More

We recently stayed four nights at the Banff Y Mountain Lodge. Chosen due to it's ideal location to the city centre and scenic position, the Lodge proved a great accommodation package. Taking the lowest standard room we were more than happy with our accommodation. A bedroom with bathroom facilities down the hallway, the room was fresh and clean with a... More

Unless you're 20 and want to be loud and not sleep, do not stay here. I'm 35 and have stayed in dozens and dozens of hostels and this one is very disappointing. I'm not on a budget but decided to book here because I enjoy the traveling feel of hostels and meeting new people. I've cancelled my other days and... More

Thankyou to the staff at the Y Banff. You made our stay very welcome. Super friendly. Special thanks to KENDRA at reception. She went beyond her duty to help two Aussies organise accommodation. A million blessings dear heart. Karma comes around. Also to the chef...and waitress...a happy mob, many thanks for great food. Kathy and Greg, Sunshine Coast, Queensland

The Banff Y mountain lodge was noisy with paper thin walls. When the shower next door was being used it was so loud you could not talk, sleep, or concentrate. The halls were often noisy too, but quieted down at night. The room was very hot with no ventilation even though there was a small window and the weather was... More

If you are going to spend your most time on exploring Banff or Rockies Mountains instead of staying in the room, this hotel is your good choice. Facilities are simple but clean and comfort enough. You can have a good sleep and short rest in between your sightseeing activities. Staffs are friendly and location is perfect for everything. Good choice... More

I stayed in a standard room that had one double bed, a desk, and a bathroom with a shower. There is ample free parking around the lodge. The best thing about this place is the location. It is very easy to find and is situated close to the popular shops and restaurants. If you're looking for a basic stay and... More

I mean, it's a hostel. Then again, I have been in much better hostels. The internet was extremely patchy. I was fortunate to be in a room with attached bathroom, but that isn't the case for all rooms. It was also ridiculously hot in the rooms, and the fans that staff kept bringing into the room were all broken. Just... More

The staff were friendly. The room was a little strange, hard stone floor. The blinds were very thin so we were woken up when the sun rose each morning. The light switches were outside the room which was inconvenient. The on site cafe was decent. The best thing is the location, it is just over the bridge from the shops

It was an okay hostel - the rooms were clean and it was nice that the toilet and shower was in different rooms, as everyone in my room was trying to get ready at the same time in the morning. However, the "bar" upstairs closed at 9:00 pm and it really didn't facilitate meeting new people. I would have stayed... More
