The website gives you the impression that this would be a relaxing secluded getaway however this is not the case at all. Althought the dinner was excellent it was extremly overpriced and the drinks were terrible. The cabins are very close together so there is no privacy and you many of the cabin are right in front of the highway... More

Simply amazing and very relaxing! If you are looking for seclusion and romance or just time to relax and unwind this is the place! We were so glad we made the choice to stay here rather than in Lake Louise or Banff were we would be surrounded by tourists. We enjoyed 4 marvelous nights here and didn't want to leave.... More

We stayed at Storm Mountain Lodge, which was sufficiently away from the hubbub of Banff, and were welcomed to a magnificent old world cabin with logs. It was beautiful inside, and we had a fire in the fireplace every night. It was the highlight of our stay in Banff. I don't know why people complain in other reviews about being... More

Stayed in Storm Mountain june 29/30th 2008 - Cabins are so great and cosy. Lovely little sitting area outside to watch the little squirrels and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Staff could not be nicer if they tried. Thanks to Sam and Laurie for everything and Isaac for breakfast ! Air canada has lost my luggage but... More

"This place was fantastic. The Cabins are charming, completely restored to elegant cozy units with wood burning fireplaces, log beds, leather loveseats, clawfoot soaker tubs. Very Clean and the best sleep we had in weeks! The atmosphere and food in the lodge was amazing. We had an incredible meal of buffalo tenderloin and alberta lamb. The staff were very helpful... On our trip to Canada I can say this was the worst place we could have stayed. It reads like paradise on its website.... but its not .... you think you will be in a peaceful setting except it is on a main road.... our cabin was about 100 metres from the road which is a main transport route and... We were looking for a romantic, rustic cabin in the woods with a woodburning fireplace and meals available if we wanted them. We were delighted with Storm Mountain Lodge on all counts. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer. We enjoyed hiking the trails; the fresh snow had been tramped down by snowshoers so we had a wonderful... More

We were originally booked for four nights, but left after three. We would have left earlier if we could have done so. First of all, believe it when they say "rustic". Even after their renovations. The property is not as isolated as you might think. It is just off and above route 93 to British Columbia and you do hear... More

Great cabin decor-- rustic, sweet, very clean & comfortable. It was perfect to return to after a day of hiking. For warmth & atmosphere, my husband kept a fire burning in the old stone fireplace, whenever we were around (although there is a good room heater too). It would be even better if there were chairs for reading by the... More

We absolutely loved this place. The staff in the main lodge are very friendly and the lodge itself is a quaint cabin with some unique items for sale and a small collection of tables for dinner. We had the bison tenderloin for dinner which was by far the most enjoyable piece of meat I had ever had to eat. The... More
