My wife, her sister, brother-in-law and I, recently spent two nights at Storm Mountain Lodge. We were on our way to a family reunion in BC, but wanted to to see some sights before the date of our get together with the family. Since I was the one that made the reservations I must admit I was a little unsure... More

First I would say that if you're looking for Luxury Hotel type of accommodations, this is not the place for you. Nor would I consider it a "family vacation spot", it's more of a Bed & Breakfast style atmosphere. It was exactly what we were looking for, a little cabin in the mountains. After a day of hiking we could... More

My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights at Storm Mountain Lodge while in BNP. Our cabin (#13) was very cozy and everything we were hoping for EXCEPT the road traffic. Our cabin had a queen size log bed, wood burning fireplace, and sitting area. The bathroom had an antique clawfoot tub. Please note though that the sink is actually... More

Being a local, we have driven past this lodge for years and talked about staying, we finally did...It was 200$ for the night, and we brought our 6month old son. We brought our own playpen, which was good, since they didn't even offer a crib of any sort (usually the better hotels around Banff offer this.) It was very rustic,... More

Stayed Here for New Years Eve 09/10 We loved it! If you are looking for something different and true Canadian mountain experience look no further! It was kind of like stepping back in time ...there are no t.v's which adds to the experience. The cabin was warm and cozy. We really enjoyed the fireplace. They had the wood all chopped... More

Amazing place - top class log cabins done in the traditional way and with a massive comfy bed for when you're all hiked out! Good location 20 mins drive from Banff village and spectacular views everywhere you look. Service of the highest order, with well-informed, patient and friendly staff, and as for the food - wow! Highly suggest you try... More

Stayed there the night before starting a 4-day back-country trek. Thought we would treat ourselves to a nice cozy cottage and a hot shower before starting off early the next morning for 4 days of roughing it. We arrived at the lodge for a late meal (not great) and then headed to the cabin. I don't know if it was... More

We found our cabin to be very rustic an cozy, loved how our fire was prepared for us every day ,house keeping was excellent. It would have been nice to have a fridge in there though considering we braught a bunch of food with us from our previous visit in jasper an of course had to through it all out.We were... My partner and I stayed at these cabins for a single night in August and very much enjoyed our stay. They weren't as secluded and rustic as I was hoping for but there's always trapper cabins for that. These cabins represent an excellent balance between wanting to escape city life without leaving behind absolutely everything. The wood burning fireplace was... More

We stayed here for two nights for our honeymoon in August 2009. We just happened to be there the two nights of our 10 day stay in the Canadian Rockies when it rained hard -- and snowed on Storm Mountain above us -- so we spent a lot of time indoors. We had cabin #2, which the staff said was... More
