My wife and I just spent our anniversary at Storm Mountain Lodge. It was fantastic! The cabins and main lodge are so cozy and charming. The food at the lodge is top shelf! Delicious regional cuisine and Canadian wine list! We definitely recommend a trip for visitors to the Canadian Rockies and locals!

What can I say....not enough. Fabulous, warmth, serene, majestic. This is the best place I've stayed at so far inside alberta. The staff are absolutely amazing!!! The chef....wow!!!! Is it pricy yes...but worth every dime. The only thing I would like to see change is the menu. The menu stays the same...however most people go 2 days and we were... More

An amazing experience for the third year in a row. The cabins -built in the 1920's are ever so comfortable and clean. The beds are some of the best that we have ever slept on and the duvets keep you so warm. The best feature is the stone fireplaces. Easy to light as they set up everything for you and... More

I just returned from a few days hiking in the Canadian Rockies with my son, staying in some fine hotels in Lake Louise and Banff. Anticipating that we would like to include a respite from the tourist crowds, I booked Storm Mountain Lodge because of its remote location and authenticity. This place certainly delivered. The minute we entered the lodge,... More

My wife and I got married in Lake Louise this past summer (2015) and for the next few days after our wedding, we decided to stay local and relax in the majestic Rocky Mountains. We were looking for something quiet and secluded, comfy and relaxing and we were fortunate enough to find Storm Mountain Lodge and Cabins. We were delighted... More

Storm Mountain Cabins are simple and charming. The cabins and lodge are clean and well-cared for, and the staff was personable and helpful without being intrusive. Storm Mountain offers comfortable and unique cabins thirty minutes from the bustle and commercialism of Banff, but still in the heart of the beautiful national park. And did I mention the food? It is... More

An amazing place tucked away from the main drag between Banff and Lake Louise. We arrived on a cold and cloudy September evening to be welcomed by friendly staff and an warm open fire. This was only the beginning of a wonderful 3 nights in warm and homely cabin. Food was incredible with creative menu combining local ingredients in inventive... More

Excellent rustic cabins include mice . About $300.00 per night. Cook was away so breakfast was cold yogurt dish. Excellent hot water. Excellent soaker tub. No kindling easily available. Hope the mice are not also in the restaurant.

Hello Frank, Our apologies you had to meet the furry forest mice which 99.9% of our guests never experience. We pride ourselves on having immaculate, mice-free cabins (and kitchen), however when the temperature drops at this time of year they unfortunately seek warmer spaces and slip through the doors when they are left open (likely by the guests in that... Storm Mountain Lodge is a remarkable combination of setting and service. The cabin we stayed in was out of a fairy tale - cosy for sure, but completely equipped and with its own wood burning fireplace which was a welcome and romantic feature at the end of a long day hike. We loved our time spent in the communal lodge... More

Hello Gwenyth, Thank you very much for your kind words! Hearing reviews like this makes the long shifts much more bearable and well worth it! Its true. You are correct. I don't sleep. I'm kind of like Batman. The batman of hospitality and fine dining (minus the good looks, bats, fancy cars and crime fighting abilities). Very glad the trip... More
