Absolutely stunning. One of the last vestiges of what it was like when lodges like this in the park were the standard. Still holding its immense charm, still embracing its guests with a hospitable, cozy embrace of tranquility and contentment the Storm Mountain Lodge is a must on your visit to Banff National Park. The small lodge manages with great... More

It's been 23 years since I last stayed here (on my honeymoon). The lodge and cabins are still charming but ask to be far away from the highway. Cabin No 15 faces the highway and so is noisy from traffic. It is weird to be over 30 minutes from civilization (e.g. Diet coke, wifi) yet hearing trucks roaring past 24... More

About once a month we drive from Cranbrook, BC to Storm Mountain Resort for lunch (about a 2.5 hour drive each way) - the food is THAT good. This time we were hiking in the Park and elected to spend the night at Storm Mountain. Our supper there was exceptional. Their menu is small but succulent beyond any food expectations... More

We spent the night at Storm Mountain Lodge to celebrate our 35th Anniversary. It was a wonderful experience! The cabins are so cozy and comfortable, and the meals were exceptional! One feels away from it all, yet just a short drive to Banff and Lake Louise.

My partner and I were aware when making this booking that we'd enjoy an escape from the fast pace of life. The cabins and lodge have no wifi access, which gave us the opportunity to dive into our books in front of the fire, enjoy each other's company, walk our dog and appreciate the sublime setting. Situated 25 minutes outside... More

Our recent July stay at the Lodge was at best; acceptable. The cabins are small (as expected) however being positioned immediately beside the highway, coupled with poor quality mattresses; a good nights' rest was not possible. The cabins are largely treed in and only limited views of the mountain were available unless standing in one small clearing by the highway... More

Hello Paul, We are very sorry to hear your stay with us did not meet your expectations. I would love to address some of your concerns; In terms of your cabins location the road is unfortunately one thing we can not control and actually built after our cabins were constructed in the 1920's. We would have been more then happy... More

While our meals in the lodge were wonderful (but pricey), we were very disappointed with the property in general. It is situated right beside the highway, and there were no common areas to sit outside, except one hard bench overlooking the highway. The cabins are dark and cramped, with few amenities. No closet or dresser for clothes, and the bed... More

I loved our stay at Storm Mountain. The cabins were rustic, but cozy and clean. Had everything we needed. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We had a lovely (though pricey) meal in the restaurant one night, and the next night the restaurant made up a platter for us to take back to our cabin and nibble in front of... More

This has been our 4th stay and once again it met all of our expectations. The staff were gracious, attentive, and friendly. We saw Cael Cook, the GM, demonstrate his patience and professional demeanor with several difficult clients that left us impressed with his ability to keep his clientele satisfied. Shout outs should also go to Amanda and Micheala who... More
