Mountain Home B and B was our home for four nights. Lynne and Ecke have a library of guide books for reference and they both answered our questions. Taking our shoes off at the door meant that the carpeted floors are clean and we were more quiet for other guests. We were able to pick and choose from a breakfast... more

In brief - we didn't get the room we had booked which was a major disapointment, breakfasts were average and self service mainly except for the cooked element which was brought to the table, but we had to serve ourselves. The owner of the B&B is very much a business woman, with no real warmth in her personality whatsoever. We... more

We have never had such a terrible experience with a b&b. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome, and were wondering if we did anything to offend our hostess, as she was quite cold to us. Guests are expected to take their shoes off upon entering, so from the beginning, you feel like you are an intruder in her... more

Great location -- walk to the shops, cafes, and especially the pubs. Spacious Rundle Room with large picture window -- watch it snow and we did almost daily. Enjoyed conversation and laughs with other guests during breakfast . Also, enjoyed delicious breakfast with fresh fruit -- if you leave the table hungry, it's your own fault. Clean, neat, and organized... more

This B&B has a perfect location and is one the cleanest we've ever stayed in (and we stay in lots of B&Bs!). Our fireplace room was charming, the private bathroom large and bright with plenty of fresh towels. Breakfast was plentiful, excellent and shared with many interesting guests from all over the planet. The hosts were helpful and provided a... more

My husband and i found that after leaving "Mountain Home B&B", we continually compared other accommodations with it and each time we noted that "Mountain Home" was always FIRST and FOREMOST on our list, for everything important to us. Our list begins with: Exceptionally clean, comfortable beds, light and bright room, quiet, reasonable and centrally located. "Mountain Home" was all... more

Stayed at Mountain Home for 4 nights in Sept and can honestly say that my wife and I found the place to be of the highest standard. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and scrupulously clean. We met Lynne on the first night and she was very professional and helpfull and the breakfast was better than you would get in any of... more

We stayed at this bed & breakfast for two nights in September, 2008. The property is very nice and comfortable, but don't expect a warm welcome as the owner is very unfriendly and in our view is not suited to a people orientated service. If you are looking for a cosy welcoming bed & breakfast, consider alternative options. more

We stayed at Mountain Home B & B for two nights. We were greeted by a note on the front door which stated the host was unavailable and the note directed us to our key. The website describes the rooms as being on the second floor. The note enclosed with the key stated that our room, the Buffalo Room, was... more
