we stayed two nights at the red carpet inn. this motel is definitely old and tired and needs to be remodeled. none of the furniture matched and the lamps and picturers had to be thirty years old. the bathroom needed to be remodeled although there was a second sink in the main room but no electric plug as it was... We stayed here for 3 nights while touring the Rockies. For Banff (high hotel prices) this is a reasonably priced and good value hotel. It is 5 minutes walk from the town centre and within very easy reach of some excellent restauarants. The rooms are a good size, in good condition and in a clean and well maintained condition. Banff... More

This hotel is an easy five minute walk into town. There is no bar or restaurant, but a continental breakfast is included in the price, which I found to be more than adequate. My room was well-equipped with a large TV, safe, fridge, coffee-maker & hairdryer. There is also a lovely hot-tub. All the staff were most helpful & friendly.... More

Clean and very friendly hotel, within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Great value, but don't bother with the 'free' breakfast as there is a very poor choice on offer. However, we didn't go for the breakfast, and the hotel was perfect for our needs with large, bright rooms and free parking.

I stayed at the Red Carpet Inn for three nights and it was the cheapest hotel I could fine. It was clean, walking distance to "downtown", and offered free wireless internet (which I took advantage of). I also liked the fact that they had a 24 hour reservation desk. Given that it's such a small place, I wasn't sure that... More

The Red Carpet is an OK motel about 5-10 minutes walk from the main shops and restaurants of Banff. There's free underground and outside parking and its easy to find being on the main approach into town. The room was simple and functional if a little tired looking. We had a strange plastic shower bath all-in-one fitting which harked back... More

I stayed at the Red Carpet Inn for a week's ski trip, my first time skiing in Canada. The hotel is in a great location, there is a ski bus stop right outside so there's no dragging your stuff up and down the road. It's only a 5 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and bars of Banff Avenue. The... More

the hotel is right on banff ave, 2-3 blocks from all the stores & restaurants. i think it is the best deal you can get. bus station for the shuttle to sunshine village right in front of the hotel. the bed was very comfortable, room was clean, cont. breakfast included, small fride, tv. would go back for sure.

We have just returned from two weeks in Banff today. What a two weeks it turned out to be. We stayed at the Red Carpet Hotel which is a short walk from the middle of town. A tourist class hotel that was superb. The staff are brilliant especially Angela on the front desk who always provides a smiling face. It... More
