Very nice to stay in. Soft beds, nice views. The hot tub is nice and small for a smaller group of people, and not over-chlorinated like the Caribou Lodge. Fairly close to the shopping district. The only issue, as others mentioned, was that they need new carpeting - the carpet in my room was stained (some of the stains looked... More

When we called to book in they had one room for one night but the lady was awesome and managed to get us the two nights in the same room. Sadly we had an emergency back home and at 4 pm...long past check out we needed to leave. They did not charge us for the night and showed us a... More

This hotel needs a thorough cleaning and a total remodel. The outside is deceptively new and fits in with the decor of the town. But when you walk in the door, everything just looks old and tired, dark and dingy. There were always cleaning carts parked in the hallways that one had to squeeze past; don't they have a place... They tell you they have a pool!!! YES...the hotel next door must be owned by the same company as you walk over and use theirs. Red Carpet has a hot tub only. This hotel is old and not well maintained. For the price they charge.....they should put money back into flooring and paint!!!!!!!

Hotel is looking very dated both inside and outside. Carpets are worn, wardrobe units need replacing and electric sockets need sorting! Really not useful when plugs keep dropping out and when you plug them back in you can see sparks!!! Good location though, close to all the shops and bars. But let's be honest Banff centre isn't that big.

The last time I stayed at this hotel was about 7 years ago, and It had been renovated since my visit prior to that back in 1994. I had read in a review that as of Januar 2015 the hotel removed it's breakfast room... bad move. The hotel lobby is very cramped and the breakfast room really opened up the... More

This was a very poor introduction to Banff. We were on the main floor, the screen in our room opening out onto the street had been broken, hence anyone could have entered our room at any time. The manager's solution was to lock the screen shut. The air conditioning was dysfunctional, the room was old, with paint chips in the... More

Red Carpet Inn, Banff, Canada General impressions From the outside, the Red Carpet looks pretty much like many hotels/ motels with no obvious visual clues for concerns. On the inside however there was the feel of a tired and jaded facility which had seen better days. There was a pervasive and permeating smell of stale mustiness, at least across the... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave such very detailed feedback! We sincerely apologize for the air conditioning unit in room not functioning properly during your stay here with us. It was also extremely unfortunate that the room type that you had booked is very limited and at that time all of that room type were already occupied. As... More

Second, if there was it would likely be worn. We stayed in several area hotels and this one is at the bottom of our list. The hotel is showing signs of age and, although value priced, there are similarly priced hotels that we prefer. Frankly, I use the phrase "value priced", but I need to acknowledge that nothing in Banff... More

This is Banff, a place where many $$$ buys very little; consequently, one gets the bottom of the barrel even at $250 / night. The bed was pretty saggy and the air conditioning was ineffectual. The room must have been a smoker in previous times as there was a lingering smell. Compared to the outside at 8AM, it was like... More
