We stayed at the Red Carpet Inn one night before going to Lake Louise. It was pretty decent, but nothing out of the ordinary. The location is pretty good, and you can walk into town within minutes. The Red Carpet Inn was exactly what we were looking for: A clean hotel, located in walking distance to Banff's center, supermarket and gas station. This is a value motel. It was clean, quiet, and a reasonable walking distance from the Banff Town center. The amenities were acceptable. more

At first, didn't want to stay in a 'hotel', but toward the end of our week in CA Rockies, we decided it was time for a hotel rather than cabin or B&B. What a wonderful surprise. My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in August. 3 nights at the beginning of our trip and then we changed plans and stayed here the last night instead of in Calgary. The room was clean.
