My wife & I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights at the beginning of October. This is a very nice hotel in a reasonably quiet part of Banff. Bedroom was very good with a very comfortable King size bed although it was disappointing to only have one bedside table with limited space on one side of the bed. Room... more

We stayed for 2 nights at the Caribou and found it to be a very pleasant hotel with welcoming friendly staff at the front desk. It is situated at the far end of the town but it only takes 15 mins to walk in, so this isn't a problem. The free pass for the shuttle bus was appreciated. The room... more

Good standard of accomodation. Large rooms & couteous, helpful staff. Good food in the restaurant. Good location although it was a 15 minute walk in to town which was fine for us but some people in our group found it too far. If you ask at reception they will give you a pass for the bus which stops almost outside... more

We stayed in banff for 3 nights and had a thoroughly enjoable time. The Caribou lodge is a good 10/15 minute walk into Banff itself but the walk is pleasant and thier are many hotels/bars on route to have a nosey at. The staff in the hotel were more than helpful giving us tips of things to do while staying... more

We were allocated room 404 which overlooks a central courtyard and results in the room being quite dark with absolutely no outlook. It is also close to the heart of the hotel's plumbing system which combined with the paper-thin walls makes it very noisy. We have stayed in many excellent hotels in Canada but this was not one of them. more

I stayed at the Lodge for two nights in August, booked through Hotels.ca. I think the room rate was $179 for a two queen bed room. The room was great, particularly the beds and pillows. Check-in was easy and the staff were very kind and answered questions about the park easily. We had massages at the spa after soaking in... more

Stayed 3 nights from 25th Aug. Good sized room 2 double beds, side view, 4th floor floor away from noise of lifts etc, i sent a E mail before to ask for this, and they obliged. You get free bus pass if you ask for it, saves a bit of cash. Reception are very keen to give you all the... more

We had a really good stay at this hotel. The facilities were good, the room was comfortable and you were able to use a few other restaurants in the vicinity that allowed you to bill them to your room which we found useful. The hotel parking was plentiful and free! Banff offer a bus around the town which you get... more

We went on Honeymoon to Canada following our wedding earlier this year. On our arrival, after taking the Rocky Mountaineer train Journey from Vancouver we found the staff warm and friendly, & most helpful. They had also placed a bottle of champayne on ice in our room with a welcome to The Carabou Lodge msge, and 'Happy Honeymoon'. We were... more

Having stayed in Banff 2 years ago, this time we chose the Caribou Lodge , especially as it was my Birthday. Wow, what more can I say. The staff so friendly, nothing too much trouble. We had champagne on ice in our room on arrival, and a lovely room looking out to the mountain. The Keg restaurant served good food,... more
